Borax

Does anyone use Borax for cleaning/laundry?
What do you know about it?

I use it in place of bleach. So did my mom & my grandmother. I also use it to clean mildew and mold. It doesn't give off toxic fumes, that's really about all I know. I have done a bit of research but have not found anything to be concerned about. It does a nice job with stains in the baby laundry.

Last check Borax is sodium borate if I am remembering right. I know nothing else besides that. I find it to be the same as sodium bicarbonate and although I use both I have never seen either do anything as wonderful as they claim!
