valium?

My Dentist prescribed me 2 Valiums. I'm supposed to take one the night before my next appt, and one an hour before the appt. My question is, is this ok while BFing a 10 month old?

Did your dr know you are nursing ? You need to call and double check!

Diazepam (Valium) is an L3, so it really depends why you're taking it.

"There are no controlled studies in breastfeeding women, however, the risk of untoward effects to a breastfed infant is possible; or, controlled studies show only minimal non-threatening adverse effects. Drugs should be given only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the infant. (New medications that have absolutely no published data are automatically categorized in this category, regardless of how safe they may be.)"

I guess he thinks I'm gonna bug out, he's pulling 2 of my wisdom teeth, one of which will require cutting my gum open and drilling the tooth in half...
I think I'll need the one an hour before, but idk about the night before
