Leg cramps during period?

Do you know of a good way to treat leg cramps? My leg cramps during the first day of my period, consistently, and the only thing I know to do at present since I might have anemia is to take blackstrap molasses for its iron.

Thanks!

I"ve had them before and taking a liquid magnesium supplement helped immensely.

autumnsummers, I've already been taking magnesium (in capsule form) daily for a few months after the lady at the natural food store recommended it for this. Thanks though!

I had aching legs, not cramps, and iron supplementation as well as vitamin c, helped to stop it within a few days.
I used Floradix and also sodium ascorbate.

Thank you Asiago. I just took two tablespoons of blackstrap molasses (which is rich in iron) and another 1,000 mg vitamin C. A friend told me about soaking my foot in either a cup of apple cider vinegar in a bath, or less for just my foot in something, for 45 minutes so I will try that next.

I felt better the next day - thanks! Strangely, my foot hurts on the first day of my period for at least a year now. At least it's predictable I guess.
