I am having my NT ultrasound exam on Thursday and am really hoping to find out the gender. From all of your experiences, what do you think my chances of finding out at 12.5 weeks will be? Will the technician most likely offer a prediction, or do they usually avoid that? In my first pregnancy, the NT ultrasound was a bad experience with a grumpy woman that wasn't helpful...

NT Exam - Gender predicted at 12.5 weeks? See my picture!
If you are able to get a good picture, there are a couple of websites where the women have a lot of experience predicting gender from the 12-13 week scan picture IF it shows what they need to see. If you are interested in how it "works," you can google "nub theory."
For the most part, though, gender is much more easily seen at 16-18 weeks and beyond.
I had an u/s at 12.5 weeks with my last pregnancy due to a bleeding scare. I asked the tech, who was very nice, if she would hazard a guess. She said she usually didn't because it was so difficult at that stage but my baby looked like a boy. She was right.
I had a super-quick u/s at 12+ weeks (abdominal -- more can be seen with transvaginal in the first tri) yesterday and didn't see anything, but she didn't specifically look.
The other site I know of is genderdreaming: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ultrasound-gender-prediction/
Hope you can get one of those to work for you!
I agree, it looks like a girl from the nub theory perspective! Also, the face is so feminine--skull theory. My son looked like such a Neanderthal at this stage! I posted the picture at ingender.com and everyone says girl even if they aren't confident or only "slightly" leaning pink. Everyone else intuitively thinks girl (mom, grandma), but I won't believe it 100% until 18 week ultrasound...not that I am not buying baby girl clothes in the meantime :)
