Feeling Movement - Page 2

Aaaw! Feeling a little envious of all those who are feeling movement. I didn't feel DS until 20 weeks, if I remember correctly, but I'm so anxious to feel something soon. For me, that's when the pregnancy really starts to feel "real" and I begin connecting with the baby.

Just about 17 weeks and maaaaaybe I'm feeling a slight occasional tapping that isn't just bubbles, but I can't be sure. I had an appointment today and heard the heartbeat and a bunch of static. At the static, the doctor said, "He's moving all over the place. You don't feel that?" I didn't feel a thing. I'm underweight normally and this is my third kid, so I have no excuse, but I've never been confident it was the baby until around 20 weeks.

I am still not really feeling anything! this is so different than my last pregnancies when I started to feel regular movement around 15 weeks.

Felt movement from the outside! And a pretty thrusty roll it was. I had my fingertips pressed firmly near my belly button and I was met w/ quite the opposition! There's actually a live baby in there. :-P

If you're feeling a lot of motion, and can tell where baby is hanging out ... do you find babe is moving around, or generally in one spot? I have super wiggly babies (both DD & DS flipped around a lot, like full body flips, moving from breech to transverse and all around, right up to labour with DS, and an external version and induction with DD).

So, this baby, already, is often hanging out on the right side, near the 'surface' of my belly. But then moves deeper away from the front - towards my back - and more to the center. Rarely rarely to my right side. For something the size of a Mango it seems to be taking up a lot of interior space, but that might just be the wild movement! There are definitely visible and externally felt movements -- of course the moment I think "that'd be a cool video", and get the phone/camera on, all is still again!.

I've had two dreams now of feeling really strong movement- that sensation in the third trimester where you can feel (a see!) your whole belly roll as the baby moves around. Can't wait to feel that again soon!!

I normally feel the movement in the same places (towards the bottom and towards the top of my uterus). I got to SEE the baby move today in the ultrasound! His head is down at my bladder and feet up towards my ribs and so his feet are kicking me a lot as well as his hands cause he puts them at his head. I saw him roll over during the ultrasound but I havent seen any flips... I think he spends most of the time laying on his back with his feet and hands pushing against me. :)

I felt the movement once from the outside but only the really strong ones can be felt and those aren't very frequent yet... so I haven't been able to feel a second time yet..

lots of position changes over here. my uterus feels different everyday. yesterday she was towards the top near my belly button, and I could feel the hardness of her entire body. today she's toward the bottom facing posterior, so my uterus feels much softer and empty-like!

finally feeling regular movement. It started around 18 weeks, much later than my previous pregnancies. 19 weeks today! almost 1/2 way there!

Finally started feeling movement! The first time I really felt her move was last Saturday, at 16wk6d. It was my 86 year-old grandmother's last night visiting us after being here a month before flying back to Nebraska. I stood up to give her a hug goodbye, as I hugged my grandma I felt the baby push against my stomach enough that my grandma felt it too! It was such a cool moment to share with her (getting teary eyed typing this now.) Since that night, I have been feeling baby move pretty regularly. No one else has felt her move form the outside yet. Hopefully DH will feel her soon. I know he will be over-the-moon when it happens :stillheart

Awesome @Water Mama, how special! On a side note my grandma lives in NE too.

I'm feeling the faintest of taps near my belly button. It has only happened a couple of times, but what a crazy feeling! I keep telling my DH and I know he is looking forward to feeling the movement too! I hope that even when I'm getting kicked in the ribs I will appreciate it as much as I am now :)

@Water Mama - that's so beautiful!

I felt movement for the first time on Christmas morning, Laying in bed before everyone got up, even before my husband was awake.it was so special, and last night I felt baby move from outside my body! I had my hand where i felt baby moving inside and then I felt it through the skin on my hand! I'm 19 weeks and 3 days now. Can't wait for the time when hubs can feel it too!

This is me.  It used to feel like I had a little goldfish swimming around (~13 weeks).  Now, I feel very little,  It is so subtle I am not sure.  I did feel (twice this week) my stomach go from being super tight and protruded to less so as if the baby shifted its weight from front/tummy to back.

I was feeling all of those little swishing movements around Thanksgiving, but hadn't felt much of anything for a while. Then as I was going to bed Friday night, I felt my uterus "pop" out of my pelvis and have been feeling regular movements since then! I'm almost 18 weeks along.

Oh wow! Where in NE? My mom's side is from Omaha and my dad's is from Sioux City, IA :)

AFM, I have been feeling more and more movement, but still not from the outside. Last night in bed I asked DH to put his hand on my belly since I felt a lot going on. After a few minutes, he pulled his hand away. I asked, "did you feel anything?" "No, but I like it anyway." "Me too," I said, and right at that moment she kicked so hard! I felt her from the outside with my hand, it was crazy. Really hoping she does it again soon for DH. He missed it by a moment.

I grew up in Omaha. Most of my extended family lives in the Omaha/Lincoln area.

My DH has felt the baby twice; most of the time he can't feel anything yet. The other night the baby was moving like crazy, and I had one of my daughters try to feel. As soon as she put her hand there the baby stopped!

Almost 21 weeks and I seem to be feeling less movement. I don't know if I'm imagining it, or if I should be concerned. I'll feel a random flutter here and maybe another a few hours later, but no real "moving around" much. Anyone else? Guess I just keep waiting for some real "awake" moments in the day, and the more I wait, the more anxious/concerned I feel. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly the kind of movement that 21 weeks is.. (feeling bigger than I look could be messin' w/ me)

I'm 19 weeks and I've only felt the baby a handful of times. I still don't feel anything regular. Not even something every day. If I remember from my previous pregnancies, even when I was practically full-term, I only expected to feel my babies when I laid down to go to sleep, though there were definitely periodic jabs throughout the day too. I think as long as you're still feeling occasional movement and only 21 weeks, you don't really have anything to be concerned about. However, if you start to get seriously stressed out and sugary things like orange juice are not having an impact, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to get checked out. It's probably nothing, but it'll make you feel better.

That's reassuring that you're 19 weeks and feeling the same. I do have a doppler and all always appears well...
