tickling between cousins

Hello. The other weekend we celebrated an early Christmas with 3 boys and two girls including my son. They are all about the smaybe the colderge 8 to 11. They get along great. They rough housing amongst other things they were playing tickle games between themselves basically where they'd see who could handle it the longest and who could the find the most ticklish spot.

Is this normal? I remember being tickled as a child but more a big brother torture sister game. Do you tickle at your home? maybe the colder weather kept them inside instead of running around outside.

It sounds normal to me. My entire body is ticklish so I hate being tickled and it wasn't something I allowed others to do to me often but my dd had played tickle games with friends occasionally when bored.

I thought so.  I didn't know if I should have stepped in or not.  They all seemed to have a great time.

Sounds normal to me. If everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves, and people are respecting other people when they ask to stop, I wouldn't think it would be a problem. We just have the one kid so far so no sibling stuff yet, but boy does she love to be tickled. I'll tickle her, then stop to give her a breather, and she'll say "More!" ad infinitum.

I asked my son why they played it and how. He basically said they would take turns finding each others ticklish spots and tickle as long as they could tolerate it.

As mentioned I've been pinned down and tickled. Some people don't like it and think its torture.
