Very excited for this! Have you ordered yours yet? Apparently you can order it before you give birth, but I haven't ordered mine yet. I am looking at them today and leaning towards the Ameda Purely Yours Ultra! They deliver for free!

I feel a little guilty as I have no immediate plans to work, however I just LOVE the freedom of occasional pumping after nursing for 7 years solid. I plan on another 3 years @ least.

I just bought the Evenflo Advanced Double Electric, even though, like you, I don't plan to go back to work for at least a year...but I do know that DH would appreciate being able to feed his son too....something we never really did with the other 2, for various reasons. And, like you, the idea of a bit of freedom does appeal to me too!!! I only plan on pumping once a day, max 2 times, so I looked at cheaper pumps (my insurance does not cover them).

I pumped for 10 min the day I got it, suction is quite decent, and I even got maybe half an ounce if colostrum. Not bad for a pump under 130$! If I had more $$, or a need for a workhorse pump, I would have bought the Ameda purely yours or the ultra. Like the Evenflo, they are both a closed system. And they both get great reviews online, for the most part. Let me know what you decide on!!

I got the Madela Pump In Style, which I've heard and read good things about. It was delivered the other day, though I don't plan to start pumping until about 2 months after this little one is born. I will be returning to work full time after 3 months, so I'm sure it will be getting a lot of use! I can't say from experience, but the Madela looks good to me so far!
