Ear Infection w/ Tubes - home remedies

Hey Mamas!

I know threads like these are probably burning a hole in this forum, but the only ones that are semi helpful are a little outdated.

My 3 year old son just got tubes 3 months ago and woke up with an ear infection last week with pus draining from his ear.  I know the drainage is pretty typical with tubes so that's not what concerns me.  I've been treating him with garlic/mullein oil (in the ear and outside of the ear), as well as probiotics.  We don't consume dairy to begin with so that's not an issue.  Our main problem is that we are BROKE and we are waiting for our Medicaid application to be approved. I am just so concerned.  I don't know what to do.

PLEASE HELP!!

Chiropractic is the best thing I can think of for ear issues.  Yes it costs money, but even when I was out of insurance, my doc at the time was still willing to see me and only charged me $5 or $10 a visit (which was equal to my previous co-pay at the time) so I didn't have to miss out.  I had major sinus drainage issues that completely cleared up with regular adjustments.  Anytime I feel stuffy, I make an appointment and it's almost instant relief after I get adjusted - DD has been going since she was 6wks, she's 25mos and has never had any ear issues.  Worth a look into.
