Hello,

I guess you can add me, the EDD is Sept 19.  This will be our first babe, but I did have a miscarriage last November at 7 weeks so I am reluctant to get too excited yet.  I also think I had a second miscarriage in early december just before this conception but hard to tell as it was just around the time of my normal period.

I just actually opened this! I'm 20. I'm due Sept 19th. I have an almost 2 year old daughter. My husband thinks girl, I have no feelings but hoping boy so that I can convince hubby to be last one if that's what I decide(since he wants a boy before we're done). We always wanted more but I'm not sure that I'm made to raise more. We will be finding out!

Hi,

It has been almost 8 years since I have been on this site after my last biological baby!!   And I am finally now coming to terms with the reality of our HUGE surprise prengnancy!!  My name is Denise and I am 38 years old, due September 12 with our fifth child.

Happily married to dh since 2002,   DD born via emerg c-section 2003,  Homebirth VBAC DS 2005,  two children ( DD and DS) adopted from Uganda in 2009 (home together 2010)   We will not find out the gender of this child and expect it will drive our older children crazy waiting!

We will tell our older kids after my midwife appt, Feb.21 ( 11weeks) and are planning a home water VBAC.

We have dealt with major male factor infertility, even to the point the fertility clinic questioned the paternity of our first two children both conceived naturally!!  LOL   We have also had an early miscarriage.

Still so shocked but ridiculously excited!    A bit nervous about multiples, given my age and the fact that I am EXHAUSTED, super sore boobs, nauseous and can already feel my uterus above my pubic bone....by a few inches.    I guess we will find out February 21st!

Glad to be here!

Hi, Silver1975,
Welcome to the club! I am same age, almost same ddate and same date of first appointment! My kids, boy and girl, are a couple years older than yours, though, so I am even more lost in what to expect from this pregnancy, since it was 13 years ago for the last time. I only have water home birth experience, so I hope to be able to stick to the tradition.

Denise... I wonder if we "know" each other? Two of my children are Ugandan too, home 2011... Usually the UG adoption community is a close knit group... are you on the FB "Home from Uganda" group? If so, don't "out" me... not ready to share quite yet. Haha!  If not, it is a fairly positive group and encouraging (unlike some other UG adoption groups). Would love to hear your story! Hugs

Marci,

Your secret is safe with me.  I do "know" you on that same board, as well as the other Uganda groups.   We have never met in person.  We are Canadian, came home with our two after being in Uganda for two months in 2009, being 'denied, or delayed visas',  going home without our kids, returning to court in Uganda 9 months later and then recieving full adoption of our two children in 2010 .   It was quite the ride.

I sent you a PM on facebook and accepted your friend request.  Too funny!   We also have not shared so don't say anything about us either!

Hi everyone,

My name is Ash, I live in Sydney, Australia and my EDD is 8 September. It is my first baby and it is a "honeymoon" baby as my husband and I conceived while in Iceland on our honeymoon (it's why my husband is convinced that I get "morning" sickness in the evenings, he thinks our baby is on Icelandic time!).

We are both very nervous/excited and can't wait to meet our new little one. We've told immediate family and very close friends only at this stage (and my manager as morning sickness has been an obvious problem for me). We plan on announcing to everyone if/when everything goes ok at our 12 week scan 28 February *fingers crossed*.

We will be happy with either a boy or a girl. There are beautiful things about both genders. We just really hope it's healthy and happy :) We will be finding out the gender when we can though as I'm impatient! The only thing that annoys me is that everyone else is really impatient too. It almost makes me inclined NOT to find out early... Hmmmm.... maybe we'll just keep it a secret ;)) (though I suspect that I may accidentally let the cat out of the bag early haha!).

Can't wait to share our journeys! I'm the first of my family and friends to have a child, so it's nice to connect with others who are going through the same things as me...and at the same time!

Go Team September! :joy

Ash.

Welcome to all the newcomers!

I am getting boy energy, and will likely find out for DH sake. Happy with either for diff reasons but since this will be our last, I lean towards a boy for balance. My 5 yo thinks a Boy AND a girl... She wants to name them Shrek and Fiona.

Hi Everyone!

My name is Mackenzie and I live in Minnesota. This is my first pregnancy for the hubby and myself! I'm 22years old and live on a farm about 10miles outside of town. We have two new dogs Harper and Keegan! They keep us very busy and now even busier with getting ready for the arrival of our first new little one. I was very nervous at first of finding out I was pregnant because I felt like I didn't know all the "smaller" and "unspoken" details about having a child and only ever heard the great parts. So excited to be here with all of you and get some great insight on being a new mommy! I am due September 25th and hoping for a boy to carry on the last name but will be happy as long as he/she is healthy!
