@innacircle congrats on the heartbeat! I'm so happy for you.

@rosie2727 how are things with DH going?

@jenjy sorry about the negative. You will get your BFP soon!

AFM... My entire body is achey. Taking my prenatal vitamins, tracking temps, monitoring my body to see when it will be normal again. I think we are going to start trying tonight and see if I have any actual desire. DH is already prepared for rejection. My obgyn gave us permission so why not? Maybe it will balance me emotionally a bit.

Test came bk neg... I'm devastated so I asked
Nurse what do we do now she said just wait a few weeks and see what happens this sucks greensad.gif
post #167 of 495

got my period. so it was a 26 day cycle and still 11dpo makes me wonder if the Bvitamins are really helping.

I knew this time worked I even had a perfect temp drop on implation day so I must be the queen of psychosomatic.

I think somethings wrong but everyone is pretty convinced I'm crazy so I won't worry about it.

Still have to go for the blood test monday if we want to do another cycle.

Hi Ladies. happy new year! Haven't been around much since it seems my new home is over in infertility. Nonetheless, I'm still doing ok. Haven't had a period is 86 days now (yea, you read that right). I have an appointment with OB/GYN today to find out what the heck is going on, especially since my blood work looked ok except for that one elevated thing.

Wish me luck! Hugs to all those who have loss, those are still hanging in there and those who are wondering what the heck is going on.

I'm sorry. I know you had hopes. I'd tell the nurse to shove it and make an appt with the dr for a discussion.

I'm so sorry for you too. That really sucks. Why is it again that you're doing IUI instead if the good old fashioned method?

So sorry for your loss. I think anyone is super scared after experiencing a loss. Maybe you'll have that heightened fertility after miscarriage phenomenon and catch the first egg.

AFM: just waiting. On CD21 now. I wasn't sure what to do with my temp this am. I usually temp around 6:15. But today I woke at 4:15, so I went ahead and took it. Then took it again at 6:15. I feel like the first one is no good since it was so early, but the 2nd one was after not much sleep. I'm leaning towards using the first one. It was lower than #2. Thoughts?

This is not acceptable.  You have had something like a year of really weird cycles, right?   Plus you have been very sick a lot of times.  Please consider making an appointment for an immediate consult and testing with a general doctor, and bring a list of questions.  I am concerned that something bigger might be going on that should be addressed sooner rather than later.

That is a tough call.  I'd likely go with the 6:15 one.  But I think other people have more reliable temps if they had the 3 solid hours of sleep before.  Another option is to add 0.2F to the 4:15 one for each hour earlier than your usual waking time.

AFM - BFN today... I'm between 8 and 10 DPO if I O'd.

I'm so sorry, oregonmoon. Your name seems familiar me for some reason...

Scjp, I agree that it is unacceptable to say wait a few more weeks. I've had several Dr's like that, and have finally found a better one.

Afm, I am having serious uterine aching. Yesterday it was annoying, but today it hurts. And is causing me to feel queasy. Bbs hurt also, which is VERY unusual. Never before AF, and not even let month with the hcg shots.

I'll let you know when I'll be going to the Dr for follow-up this cycle. That's when she'll order a beta, if I haven't seen AF yet. I don't have a "gut feeling" yet... Lol

I'm guessing my test date will be Jan. 21

AFM.  Because I've been waking up a couple times a night for this puppy, I wonder how reliable my temps are.  They've stayed low, but today (CD20) it shot up.  Yesterday I had spotting, which was earlier than my usual LP spotting.  So, the hopeful naive side of my brain says, "Oooh, forget the low temps and the weak OPK... that was implantation spotting!"  The practical realist side says, "I've had wacky sleep patterns before and the temps still stay pretty reliable throughout.  The spotting was early because progesterone is way low because this was anovulatory."  Then my hopeful side pipes up, "But the spotting went away!  There's none today!"  And the hopeful side wins.  LOL!!  I will test in the AM tomorrow.  If it was implantation spotting, there should be enough HCG by tomorrow to show up!

jenjy - You ARE thin!  Being similar height, I can certainly appreciate that.  I hovered around 112lbs for a while when I was 18 and people thought I might be getting anorexic.  Those are pretty tight diet restrictions - I suspect you're probably well versed in health foods at this point... geez!  It would be a challenge to get enough calories, at least in stuff you actually want to eat.  Thx for the insight on weight gain and loss with pregnancy and BF.  I told my doc about my eating yesterday and she basically shrugged it off - said you're thin... you've got a long way before anyone gets concerned about you and weight gain.  I weighed in today and am up 4 lbs... all boobs and butt!  DH gets the googly eyes if I mention it.

btw I like your internal dialogue... I can so totally relate!

He said "I have a good record of getting you pregnant....3 times in the last 4 years." Last 2 were losses, but still...so he thinks we have better luck when we're NOT trying. We were trying that 2nd loss, but we were not trying with DS or ectopic. True...3 times in 4 years (and I had mirena for about a year in there). Idk! I can't imagine just not trying. I feel like I'll always be trying to sway things anyway. And I'll still be disappointed every month that we don't DTD during my fertile window. So....idk what the future holds...

rosie - 3 times in 4 years = 3 in 48 months.  So averaging once per 16 months?  That's great if you don't want to be pregnant YESTERDAY.  Hello, what about playing the odds here?  You're a numbers gal; that's got to be a tough pill to swallow.  I'll give him credit for at least analyzing it a bit though.  Seems like he's thoughtful but doesn't realize you're counting down to worrying about age issues (although to me you are still a spring chicken).  His plan is a bit on the "winging it" side for a gal with a goal... like when he goes to target practice does he even aim the gun?

p.s.  I just re-read this and it sounds like I'm DH bashing and that's not my intention at all... more just pointing out how different a man's thinking can be than a woman's - especially a woman on a mission!

i have a 2 year old that took 4 ish years to concieve (although we weren't trying like we are now), had my period back in april and concieved my 2nd in june 2013 then MC'd in Aug.  Been trying since sept (4 months). my cycles are 32 days but regular in the respect.  i have no data on my cycles other than the past four months.  i used to miss 1 month or more months at a time but i don't remember much.  my mommy brain had washed away all solid information that could give me any insight.

edubluv - I'm sorry to hear how down you are about all of this.  I do hope you keep trying, if even a bit more casually, while all your paperwork and applications are being processed.  Btw how old are you?

badwolf - Seems like this past couple of weeks have been nothing but a roller coaster for you.  You made it past your sisters' visit, are recovering well from an early mc, and from what it sounds like are surrounded mostly by big goofy guys yet you're still hanging in there - and HOPEFUL!  That says a lot about you as a person.  I sure hope you feel good and are able to give it a go with TTC... at the very least that will help avoid any "what-ifs" a couple of weeks from now.  Moving forward!

Oregon - I'm very sorry to read this.  When you shared your doubts in the August DDC, I was really hoping it wasn't going to turn out this way.  Hugs.

tifga - this stinks on so many levels.  I don't know how long you've been on the B vitamins but it took a full 2 months of me taking 50mg B6 to bring my O-day forward, although it did lengthen my LP by 1 1/2 days the first month (my cycle was just longer).  I can only imagine this weighs on you financially, thinking "if only it would take" how much less complicated, uncomfortable and expensive things would be... but that fickle mother nature just doesn't always see it our way.  Hang in there!

scjp - so sorry about your blood test!  You must be wondering WTF in the biggest way.  I'm glad you have an appointment to get some answers.

vibrantmom and joyfamMama - Welcome ladies, may your stays here be brief!

TTC has to be one of the most frustrating things to undertake bc hard work does not necessarily equal payoff.  All our lives we're taught that if you make an effort you will be rewarded.  Usually in TTC it will happen eventually (in mother nature's own sweet time) but on a cycle-to-cycle basis, we work hard, plan, chart, focus, research, supplement, and do the occasional headstand but at the end of the day the result is still a matter of chance.  banghead.gif    With complete understanding of the above, the BFN still stings.  Later on though, when that BFP appears it seems like all of that is forgiven!

I'm trying my best not to worry about the cost, husband says it's fine. I am more worried about this horriable stabbing pain on my right side. I haven't had cramps since I went of BCP 4 years ago. This freaking sucks.
Since we started trying having a period has been awful. Last month i spotted for 6 days around my period, this month there is a horriable pain. Kind of feelings like my body is rejecting being pregnant voilently.

So nervous! Fixing to go in for job interview-hoping I get it and will have less stress, and maybe that will help some with TCC!
