Yes, I have considered it.  However, this cycle was potentially anovulatory (weak OPK, sad temps, short cycle).  Besides, with the tests right before and right after being negative, I think they are actual evaps.   (But will that stop me from taking a look after the time limit?  No... )

ETA: That was the early-pregnancy-tests brand...  I have now seen evaps on this brand, Wondfo, and FRER (I'm sure only because I took it apart.  Lesson learned there -- I will never take apart a FRER!)

apeydef, I'm sorry.  If you aren't sure if you're ovulating, I'm a big fan of temping and OPKs.

So DH and I have been DTD the past few days. The only problem is I'm not into it like I normally am. I am trying mentally but I keep thinking about the miscarriage. I really want to be pregnant ASAP, but my mental state apparently doesn't want to agree. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Okay I was just looking at my MyDays App I have to keep track if my cycles. My cycles lately have been 45 days. So if this cycles was 45 days then I would only be 5 weeks. So it is possible to have been getting neg hpts and that neg blood test last week an still maybe be preg right?? Cuz yesterday I got carsick on the way to go shopping and my boobs are very very dry around the aerolas and burn bad when touched. So is there hope????

If your cycles are normally around 45 days, you're probably not ovulating.

edubluv - We used it for a few cycles, including the BFP cycle.  We didn't follow the instructions at all though - just used it externally.  I'm glad you're still giving it a go.  Although timing is super important and we can't help what we want, in the grand scheme of things you have a long TTC lifespan ahead still.  I'm very hopeful for you to see a BFP really soon!

joyfamMama - This was way cool of you... you must be a data junkie like I am!

rosie - I do have to say that although you had a crappy temp history this month, those trends of days 16-18 being fairly stable, and then the clear rise after day 19 does look like it might've been a late O.

scjp - I hate to sound like a meanie, but no, I don't think so.  You've been having the nausea, etc. for long enough that the blood test would certainly have picked up the hcg.  That tells me that the symptoms are not preg related.

I think you are having symptoms bc your hormones are out of whack (which has led you to your 70 day cycle).  You should move up your annual appt if you want to get some answers.  However, if I were you I'd keep BDing just in case you just skipped your AF and are in the middle of the next cycle.  That would put you at the start of your fertile period right about now!

innacircle: I can see why everyone thinks I O'd late. I just can't buy it though. Although I will admit it's certainly possible. I went back and looked at all my data again and I got a +OPK this month on 13 and on 15. I'm wondering if the one on 15 was the LH fall? (Or maybe I'm trying to make all of this into what I want). And I also had EWCM from days 13-16. I know all of this does not guarantee O happens anyway. But I just truly feel I O'd on day 15. Maybe it's wishful thinking. Funny, I'm usually pessimistic about everything, but for some reason I'm not getting all worked up with the possibility I O'd much later. Either way, I'm probably not pregnant anyway greensad.gif but I am getting that fertility monitor! I can't wait to see what kind of info it gives me!!

Lol! Yea, who has gotten pregnant using it?

Thank you lady, for the boost of confidence. Just externally huh? Yea I saw that injector thing it comes with.

I'm in such a weird frame of mind. Too much trying different things might make it never happen. Like what is the variable not working or working when trying various methods? Mind boggling up in here!

The good part is that the last day of EW or watery CM is supposed to be the most fertile of them all.  I bet your OPK just didn't get a good reading.  LH release is pulsatile, so it could have varied enough to give you an inconsistent result.  It'll be nice with the CBFM - it will reduce the guesswork a lot!

btw - it would be the ultimate irony to get your BFP right after buying a fertility monitor.  Imagine that!

Cycle day 52. The last two days I've had EWCM which makes me happy. Who knows maybe I am finally ovulating now. Definitely making sure to bd and take full advantage. Also picked up vitex which I started taking today. Feeling hopeful again. smile.gif

yes, that would be so ironic. I wouldn't even care about spending the $ if that does happen. Let's say this: if that happens, I'll give the monitor away to someone on here as a gift! (After the first trimester.) Praying for irony!!

Okay ladies, I've been reading a lot lately. I made my DH go to the library and check out pregnancy and fertility books for me. Been reading the parts about miscarriage and the one thing they all say: your highest fertility is after a miscarriage. Would everyone agree with this? He's been reading them as well, and has been pushier about DTD since this newly discovered fact. All my ovulation tests have stopped showing a faint second line so I have no clue where my body is at or what it's doing. I'm overthinking. Ugh.

That's what I've always heard. I've had 3 miscarriages, 2 I tried immediately afterward. 1 of those times I got pregnant right away and one I did not. That's just my experience...

Hi there!  Welcome!

Shoot, sorry.  I went through a long time when I would stare during the 10 minutes, and I felt the exact same way... that somehow staring at it would turn it positive.  Now what I do is watch it long enough to make sure the control goes pink and then I set it down out of sight.  I keep an eye on my watch instead, and go back and look at 10 minutes.  I don't know, I guess it helps.  I may not sound sane but I FEEL sane lol.gif

AFM:  CD1, but I'm already in the right spot - waiting to O - since I never asked to be moved this past cycle.  On to next month.  I have a good feeling about it.

Oh, something interesting (to me anyway, lol.gif ) -- I got an evap this cycle.  I keep meaning to post a picture of it.  I will upload it today hopefully.  I have had a few evaps over the past 7 months, and I find it interesting how much they look like early BFPs.  (They're not defective tests... they are something that happens AFTER the time limit (or if you take apart a test)... last month's that showed up at 4 minutes was a truly defective test.)  The only way I can tell them from a slow-to-show-up early BFP and an evap is to take another test later to verify.
I got two last week and then started like a couple days after!!

Do any of you only get sore boobs (actually it's only my nipples) around ovulation only? I'm starting to see a pattern here..

badwolf - I've read that in several books too, although I've never seen any "published" figures supporting it (I haven't looked tho).  It's either increased hormones amping things up a bit or ppl get more gung-ho after having a disappointment (becoming more determined to get back to pg status).

alive - I rarely, maybe once or twice ever, had sore boobs from hormones.  Then once I started TTC, I got sore boobs the day of or the day after ovulation.  It was so crazy!

I took vitex for a short time too.  It magnified my TWW symptoms so beware that is a possibility going forward.  I felt great when taking it (energy wise) but the TWW bloating, cramping and BBs soreness... and even nausea close to AF, were just not worth it for me in the long run.  I hope it regulates your cycles tho - mine were normal to begin with so I think that's prob why I had the issues.
