With talk like that, we'll see how long my calm lasts.  :lol

welcome hendrix!  Looks positive to me.  I wouldn't be able to wait another few days.. I'd be testing each morning.  And afternoons too probably.  :innocent  Good luck and keep us updated.

Hendrix- I read both your posts, welcome to Mothering and to Motherhood! I'd say that was a positive test, congrats! x

Add to that I get insomnia at least 2X per week, and then the freight train that is my husband wakes me most nights. So I never know how accurate my temps really are. It's to the point now that I take my temp twice a night sometimes...like at 3am just in case I find myself awake for 2 hours, therefore knowing my 6am reading won't be good. But if I then fall back asleep quickly, I retake it at 6am and use that one. I still think I O on 15 or 16....but if CBFM says differently, and it churns out a BFP for me, I will be first to admit how wrong I was!! I will predict my first peak reading for Friday....lol!
Are you bf your 3 yr old?

No, he's just evil! He gets up and gets in our bed every night. And tosses and turns and talks in his sleep a lot. Around age 2 I started not hearing him anymore. I think my mind blocked him out as a survival mechanism. I was exhausted after no full nights sleep for so long.

Question...how important/critical is it that "new troops" be on the front line? We DTD last Sat night, but have not since then. Still getting high reading on the CBFM, so no peak yet. Tried to get DH to bd last night but he wasn't down for it greensad.gif hoping to get another shot tonight, but, assuming we only BD during peak times, how impactful do you think it is that it will have been a solid week since BDg? Do you think all he'll have is duds?

Ok ladies so I couldn't hold off and went and got a whole other box of Hpts and this is all the test I've done so far!! I'm still in shock!

rosie - It's not what you want to hear but I think it's recommended not to go longer than 5 days for optimal sperm count and mobility.  That being said, all you need is ONE so I wouldn't sweat it too much.  Time to get those bases loaded tonight though...

hendrix - well that's definitely positive!  Huge congrats on your BFP!

jenjy - so has the testing begun...? ahem, for scientific purposes, of course.

Where is badwolf?   Haven't seen her post recently - is she taking a break?

AFM:  A question about preg etiquette...

I know a gal, a loose association really, but we talked a fair bit about her early pregnancy.  She's 14ish weeks right now.  She was so darned set on having a boy (twin boys was her first goal but she tamed that since it's a singleton).  She got her MaterniT21 results back and found out all is good and she knows the sex, but now they decided they aren't going to tell anyone until birth.

Does that seem odd?  Why withhold that info from the people who are in your life?  Is it for attention?  I just don't get it.

It doesn't matter to me one way or the other and same for everyone else we know.  All of our in-common acquaintances think it's a weird choice.  Any input?  If she's hoping for suspense, it really doesn't work for any of us... it's a bit offputting really.

Temp dropped 0.2 today.. Trying not to over analyze that. This is why I didn't want to temp ha ha. I've been dizzy and nauseated all day which would be nice if I was actually pregnant but I'm not so it's more of a tease than anything. Anyway I should get the opks I ordered on Saturday so that will be the next set of confusion. smile.gif

As for not announcing the gender, the only way I would do that is if I was hiding it from myself and didn't know either. I think it's more fun when you know to be honest and I definitely plan on telling close family and friends what it is.

inna: if I could get him in the sack tonight then we'd be golden...why must he be so stubborn?! I'm trying not to tell him we're coming up on "that" time, but if he is still uncooperative, then I may be forced to tell him. Ugh!
inna: oh, and I think the pregnant person that knows but won't tell is wanting attention or being selfish. It's like the little kid with all the candy that won't share. It's just rude. There's a lot of that rude pregnancy etiquette going around....

After you see a cycle of yours, charted out, that .2 won't seem so big. It's gonna bounce around some. I feel like, for me...97's is follicular phase, 98's is the LP. Not exactly of course, but generally speaking....

Way to go everyone! I know I haven't been around much- I am probably going to post one a couple other threads now that we know what our options are.

We are headed into IVF as our only way to have a biological child.

I'm here. I've peaked in a few times but haven't posted. Not really much to share. First AF since mc has ended but had a little extra spotting. Ugh. I caught the awful bug going around. DH and I have been distant this past week. I'm mentally trying to get last my brothers passing still. 'Straight thoughts' haven't really existed with me.

Congrats to all those with their BFP! I'm happy for you all.

As for the gender hiding lady, she either didn't find out or just wants to see everyone debate about it. I know that the moment I can find out what's in my tummy I would, and I wouldn't hide it.

Hugs, badwolf.

Congratulations, hendrix!  Best wishes for a sticky healthy bean!

LOL!  It's never too early for science, but I'll wait to start testing Saturday morning.  That'll be 8DPO and I'm solid on my O date.

I've been trying to ponder why she would do that.  I could see it if she was just a private person, but that doesn't seem to be the case If she was open before about wanting/thinking she was having a boy.  I know people were annoyed at us for not telling, but that's because we didn't know.  (We chose to not do ultrasounds with DD and DS.)   I was surprised by the reactions.  I can't imagine if we knew and didn't tell!

Congrats Hendrix that's awesome!!!!!! Hopefully we all get our bfp really soon and we can join everyone smile.gif

Today I'm having pinching pain in my right lower side. Yesterday it was going bk and forth I really do hope it's ovulation time

innacircle- when I was reading your post, what came to my thoughts is "perhaps its a girl and she doesn't want everyone assuming she has gender disappointments/ perhaps she is disappointed and doesn't want to face any judgements".

In other news- I have crosshairs!

High reading again today! Why am I so excited by this? Cause we uh....got the pipes cleared last night. And if we get peak reading anytime in the next few days, DH should have nice troops on the front line! I'm on CD12 according to monitor, CD13 irl.....getting excited!! Now if peak doesn't show up soon, I will start freaking - but I usually get +OPK around CD15. Oh, and I started having a tiny bit of decent quality CM yesterday. And according to my app, we are on first day of fertile window...things seem to be lining up well for timing!

Good luck on your journey! I'm sure it will work! Lots of couples have success with this. I have a feeling it's gonna work first try for you!
