With my first second child, I was rather fit when I got pg, and had apparently quite a lot of strength and energy while carrying him. I was even in the gym at 8 months along, doing my curls! Noticed I had to rest more often to catch my wind, but I was there, doing it! Then with my most recent child, I was absolutely winded and weak practically from Day 1. Got winded going upstairs such that I couldn't talk for a minute after!
This time feels a lot like that time. Shortness of breath and the need for a 2-hour nap around 11, are my biggest symptoms, besides having too much saliva, and drooling on the pillow.
If it matters, the first son (the one I was exercising and energetic throughout with) had an ENORMOUS placenta, and he has always been "motor-active" and super strong and athletic. The second son, was a full pound smaller at birth (but still what they would call large!) had a much smaller placenta (looked tiny compared the the first son's!) and is much quieter and more sedate.
I do wonder.
But I am not exercising when I can barely go upstairs without having to catch my breath. Just can't.
