I want to pull the plug. I know in my heart, soul and bones it is evil. I need some "proof" for my DH. Please help.

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Thanks for the link. We are pulling the plug for the summer (though I think we may keep a family movie night) So 2 hours a week is what I have planned. I am so looking forward to it. My 4 year old watches way too much. I have been weaning him down and talking to him about turning the TV off for the summer. So far he seems ok with it, though I know it will be a struggle (for me) when I need an hour to myself. My hope is that he finds other ways to entertain himself so that by Sept TV is not his first default and that we can go back to watching an occasional show or movie without abusing the TV.
Also I have been talking to my dh about the correlation btn TV watching and my ds' behavior. He was skeptical, so last week, we did 3 days in a row, in which my ds watched 30 min of cartoons and on the 4th day, I let him watch as much TV as he wanted to that day. Wow!! What we had thought was normal, running laps thru the kitchen and living room while trying to talk to us, screeching, constant motion of all body parts, talking in a louder than normal voice, 'forgeting' manners and etiquette, hyper, loud, and rather ill behaved only occured on the free TV day. I repeated the experiment this week, taking mon and tue off and letting him watch unlimited today, and he was NUTS tonight. So I think my dh is definately seeing the correlation. Looking forward to a TV free day tomorrow
