Share your ultrasound!

Thread Starter

I thought I'd open this for anyone that wants to share their ultrasound photo's and experiences.

We got visual confirmation that the baby is a boy! Everything looked very healthy and normal. The placenta is in a good location and is on the back which is why I feel so much movement. My cervix looks good. He moved a lot ... and the tech said he was a very busy one  He currently has his head at my bladder and his feet towards my ribs. He moves from laying on his back to on his stomach and is constantly moving his little legs and arms.

I had a great experience, she talked us through every step of the way and she gave us LOTS of pictures (14 or so). He is measuring on schedule (18W 4D..by my EDD I'm 18W 6D... I had to estimated Ovulation days and one would put me at 18W 3D *more likely* the other at 19W 3D)

Here are some of the pics:

Here he's waving:

Gah.  I'm so excited.  Ours is booked for Feb 4.  I'll definitely be posting after.  Hopefully we'll be able to find out what it is.  I'm feeling boy, but DS1 is insisting he'll have a sister.

This baby looks just like his/her nephew. Which could mean he/she is going to come out looking like an old man ;)

Dates say 19w4d, but they hadn't changed it from my last ultrasound at just after 9 weeks. So I was 17w6d when they got these.

Everything looked good at the scan! It was tempting to find out, but we are still team green!

No pics worth uploading our little one was very shy & stubborn. But we had an awesome experience and found out we're team Pink so that was pretty sweet!

Congrats! Mine was similar, and we don't have any very good photos. We couldn't even confirm gender for sure. "Probably" boy, but the little guy had legs crossed most of the time and we didn't get any actual proof.

Picture of the print-out, but hoping to get better quality scans of images soon.
Can't remember/find who asked for these to compare. Were there other shots you wanted?  We have a bunch, but this was the easiest to grab since I already posted it to FB.
PS: She's a girl.
PPS: Does her giant abdomen/chest look "normal"?

I had asked, b/c everyone who has seen my photo says boy. I was thinking whether boy or girl they probably look pretty similar at this point. I have one pic where the chest looks big too. Oh, and the photo you posted was perfect; I was hoping for some good profile shots.

My scan is Feb. 3rd We are not finding out the gender and are only having it done to verify placenta location as I birth unassisted. I had a scan done much earlier to date the pregnancy because I ovulated twice in one month. It was too early to see the placenta, so we have to go back.

Make SURE to tell them you don't want to know so to steer clear of the privates. I saw by chance when just looking at placenta location.

I posted this a while ago on a different thread. I think this was at 13 weeks. We have our 20 week on Friday, so I will post that one then :)

19 weeks:

These are all so neat. I had my first pregnancy in Japan where they did u/s at every appt so I have a million u/s pics, with baby 2 back in Canada I had one early u/s done while on a trip to Israel but the 2 I had done in Canada, if I wanted a photo it would have cost $30. I thought that was highway robbery so I didnt get the pic. Anyone else have to pay extra for the image print out? I hope I won't have to pay next week...it is a different hospital so we will see.

I have never heard of having to pay for u/s pics! It's interesting to me to learn about birth in other cultures. I guess that's standard care in Japan? Did they say why they did so many?

I perinatal office I go to offers to put the images on a memory stick for I believe $20. If you go with that option, they apparently won't give you the paper pictures. We'll see if I can sweet talk them tomorrow. This is only the case for the anatomy screen-I've gotten pictures from my last 2 visits.
