I can eat ok, but fluids are another matter. I'm so thirsty and I know I need to drink, but more than a small sip and my stomach revolts.
What are you ladies drinking?
Same thing here. Yesterday was the first day I felt okay in about a month. I was sipping lemon water all day. Today I felt like crap again, until I realized that I hadn't touched it yet. So here I am sipping it, and feeling energetic enough to get off the couch and surf the web! Major progress- getting stuff done here.
I second bubbly water -- do mine with a splash of juice or some frozen blueberries.
Also lemon - I have some lemon (therapeutic-grade) essential oil and use it diluted on my skin, just sniff it from the vial, and put a few drops in water.
It will be better. I am back to my normal water habits -- for now. It was rough there for awhile.
Hang tight, and sip, sip, sip!
I'm finding sour drinks are working much better for me. Orange juice and lemonade are going down pretty well this week. I hope that continues. I was worried a bit about drinking so many calories, but I realized today I'm down maybe 5 lbs. So I'm giving myself permission to ignore the calories until the nausea passes.
Uggghhh I hate it when people say that other fluids "don't count"...they absolutely DO count!! Your body separates the water from the calories early on in digestion, so unless you're drinking something that is going to pull fluid out of your cells, like salty or with caffeine (or alcohol, I guess I should throw that in there too ) then it's fine to use it to total your daily fluid intake. I'll admit, it's not ideal- but if you're a pregnant chick that can only keep down juice then by all means, drink juice!! If I had to drink a gallon of water each day I'd barf more than I would keep down ::grumble::
My problem with drinking more fluids is the relentless peeing that ensues...like literally every 10 minutes. :( My pelvic floor was weakened after my son's birth and I've worked to strengthen it but I still find myself peeing CONSTANTLY when I drink more fluids. Lately though I really friggen love fluids, ESPECIALLY coconut water, it's sooo good. I pee A LOT and sometimes I am already leaking on myself...oy.
hehe- ^^^^ yup. i bought more giant panties so i can have a couple pairs a day if it happens. and i've got pretty strong pelvic floor muscles, but sometimes my body forgets....
i've been so good on fluids, but yes to this!!! and i forget to pee sometimes, b/c chasing 5 kids around means that i'll be standing there mid-task and be like 'AAAAAAGH! I NEED TO PEE NOW.' ugh.
