Non-toxic crib in Canada?

Thread Starter

I am trying to find a crib in Canada that is made of 100% solid wood, either unfinished or finished with something natural like linseed oil.  I found the ideal crib in the US but it can't cross the border because of Health Canada regulations.  It isn't possible for us to go pick it up and try to bring it across and see whether they let us through, so I'm back to trying to find a Canadian option.  I really want something 'mission' style - plain and sturdy...nothing modern or painted.  It's so hard to find!

This is the US crib I was hoping for:  http://www.greencradle.com/baby-organic-green-nursery-p/moss-green-slat-wood-crib.htm

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Check out this company; not sure if they make cribs but they might: http://www.nakedfurniture.ca/Productsnew.htm

Some of the IKEA cribs are solid wood except for the mattress base (at least in the US.) You might be able to replace it, although IKEA uses low emission glues.
