Tummy feels so tight the last 24 hours since I left hospital with short cervix

Hi,

I'm doing my best not to worry. I was in the hospital Wed-Fri b/c at my sonogram on Wed. they discovered I have short cervix. I felt no pain, no symptoms at all of anything. Baby was moving mucho the last 2 days. Today, just a little. And after I ate pad thai last night my belly felt very tight. I figured from maybe eating too much. I just ate fish and broccoli about an hour ago, and my tummy feels so tight again.

I did walk a few blocks today and climbed a few stairs at subway...wondering if this made a difference. I will speak to my nurse tomorrow. I missed her call today. The resident mds said I was not on bedrest, just to walk as I usually did and lift less. I asked them several times what i should do differently and they said really nothing, just take it easy but walk, yoga, whatever I did before just don't overextend myself and stay hydrated. However, the older nurses said bedrest.

This tight tummy is worrying me. I have a follow up appt. on Thursday.

I even asked the residents to give me what they were telling me in writing. So they gave me an article from June 2013 from the American College of OB/GYN entitled Activity Restriction Among Women with a Short Cervix. I am about to read it now.

how's it going??

I have a tight tummy always when I am on my feet. It's called irritable uterus. Any type of movement causes this.. also with just having ultrasound that added poking around the stomach would add to it as well. Just take it easy and try not to worry. when you lie down does your tummy relax??
