Strange that I'm the other way around.  I think it might be because it's actually only the nipples that hurt/are super sensitive on me and the rest of the breast is ok … Funny how we all have it different … :)

Oranges are about the only thing that sounds good to me too. I had one for dinner yesterday. I also thought, briefly, that egg salad would be a good idea. I boiled over a dozen eggs, made it all up ... After a few bites I really regretted it.

I do throw up, quite a lot usually and for most of the pregnancy. I haven't yet and I am hoping I can last at least another week. I am not ready :(

I'll trade you on that last part! Lol I feel like there's no need now that the mission has been accomplished. Lol

LOL... it's both nice and not nice. My drive hasn't ever fully returned since I've been nursing this whole time, so it's kind of fun to be excited again. But dh has been stressed, and is going to be traveling, so that kind of stinks! (And now today he doesn't feel good, either. :p) With my last pregnancy (I miscarried in September), my dh asked me a few weeks in, "So when do you start getting really horny again??" Good memories from my first pregnancy, I guess...

ANGER! My husband is driving crazy. I never had this symptom with my daughter . Maybe I am having a boy...

OMG, I woke up at 4am to pee and when I came back to bed, my cramps were so intense! Up to now (5w4d) I have had mild cramps off and on all the time -- or, I should say, it is often hard to know whether it is cramps or gas -- but this morning they were really strong. I got quite freaked out, and when I went back to sleep I dreamt that I had also passed a little blood and then a whole bunch of water. And I asked someone "was that amniotic fluid?" and they said, "hmm, maybe." When I woke up again in the morning, I wasn't sure if that part was a dream or real until I realized there was no one I could have asked that at 4am... (and also, I don't think we have any amniotic fluid this early...? At least, not as much as I "lost" in my dream).

I still have some cramps or gas or whatever this morning, a little stronger than usual but not as intense as they were. It makes me kind of nervous and I don't think I want to do yoga today, though I had been planning to. My partner said, "maybe you shouldn't do the yoga, not because it would be damaging, but because if anything DID happen to the embryo in the next few days, it might make you more inclined to blame yourself..." True 'nuff. <sigh>

Not only have I been feeling nauseous throughout the night, which prevented me from getting a decent night's sleep, but I also have diarrhea this morning.  I also threw up, which for me is worse than for most because I NEVER throw up, I just don't.  Fun times.

Now I'm considering the pros and cons of eating this pear ...

The symptoms are REALLY kicking in today (w5d4) -- besides my nighttime cramps, now I am sitting here at work (2pm) feeling a weird combination of nausea and heartburn. It isn't TOO severe, but it is uncomfortable and I certainly am in no mood to eat my lunch. Not only that but I am tired and emotional - not irritable, but everything seems to make me tear up! I just want to go home, but then again, what will I do at home? And I have so much work to do! And the symptoms might get worse so I shouldn't bow out on the first day that I feel crappy -- I have to get it together. Ugh.

I'm having serious cramps, like you, ybutterfly. I'm actually wondering if any of you who have kids already could shed some light on this for me - I've been having intense cramps, almost like a sort of throbbing or pulsing, just on my lower left side, that have been happening on and off regularly since last night. Because I have a history of miscarriages, I'm feeling really worried - I didn't experience anything like this before my losses, which were further along (8 and 11 weeks). I'm 6 weeks today. No bleeding, no fever...

Is this something fairly common? Is it round ligament pain, or would that be more near my groin? I have an appointment with my doctor on Thursday for acupuncture, so I'm planning to ask her what she things, but our midwife is out of town for a couple weeks.

My partner is kind of an "assume the worst" kind of person, so is not being reassuring...I find myself having to reassure her that it might not be anything to worry about, when really I'm kind of freaking out and could use some reassurance. Or, if not reassurance, at least some information so I figure out what to do next.

Thanks for any advice or wisdom you can offer!

Lea - that sounds exactly like round ligament pain, and I started getting it well before 4 weeks.  It was intense for me at 6 weeks.  I even had a night where I couldn't sleep it hurt so much.  It can be very, very intense.  I had it with my first pregnancy, and it's worse this time.

So yeah, I'm having RLP, and feeling gross and moody and pissed off and weepy.  And my boobs hurt so, so bad.  Nursing hurts so, so much.  I watched Monsters, Inc with my daughter this morning and cried.  Twice.  Wait... 3 times.  I've gained weight already, which is fine, but it makes my clothes feel tight and uncomfortable and I feel awkward in my body.  I'm just exhausted, too, foggy and irritable.  Did I mention irritable?  The last few days have been rough for me.

Lea - ditto for me. With my first I had crazy RLP and crampy stretchy pains. I had some with my second (term pregnancy) and now none with my 4th so far. My two miscarriages were nothing like that as you mention. I would take it as a good sign of uterine growth.

Hello!

So this is my first pregnancy and my first forum!  Lots of firsts here!  I am around 7 weeks along and am feeling pretty epic mood swings and exhaustion!  I've been sleeping 9 to 10 hours a night and when I can taking naps.  No energy to walk the dogs or do any of my normal activities.  I haven't been out of a sports bra in 2 weeks either!  Nausea is starting to kick in, I feel like I've been on a boat for weeks.  Ginger lemon tea or chamomile is the only thing that soothes me.  I'm finding it difficult to realize I'm with child, its still so surreal to me....

OMG, I'm so bloated today. My belly is round and firm! Looks like I'm 15 weeks not 5. I started to get the pubic bone pain too. had this with #2+ as things grow and stretch.

I'm shocked that I didn't feel sick today when I wasn't able to eat "breakfast" until 3pm. (Had to take my youngest to urgent care this morning for a double ear infection, then to get the antibiotics filled, then immediately following was taking everyone to the Y for swimming lessons for the older two. FINALLY got to eat when we got home from that.)

This made me laugh bc that's EXACTLY how I was with my second pregnancy. But it was another girl. But she is night and #1 is day. She's a feisty, hot headed, hilarious mess!

  • MrsKatie and xekomaya - thanks for the input on RLP! I think you're right and that is what I'm experiencing. I hardly slept last night partially because of the pain and partially because of the worry, so hopefully tonight I'll sleep better!

It's most likely just round ligament pain.  However, it never hurts to have it checked out.  I had that happen to me with my first pregnancy - it was quite sharp - and I ended up going to the emergency room and the doctors ended up suspecting ectopic pregnancy.  Fortunately, it wasn't it, but if you are at all worried, you might want to have it checked out.  I don't want to scare you - really, I don't.  But it's something to consider especially if the pain is strong and is worrying you.  Better safe than sorry is sort of my motto.
