Are you having symptoms yet? - Page 9

The nausea hit me this weekend. When I am not nauseous I am queesy or tired. The food cravings are starting to really control me and the smells are out of control. Not as bad as first pregnancy, but it's no joke either.

Still spotting brown.  It's mild and very little.  Called the medical advice phone number today and they told me that there's nothing to do at this point but wait and see how it develops.  They told me most likely it's nothing, but that I should be aware that it can also end in miscarriage.  They told me that unless I'm bleeding fresh blood and soak through a normal menstrual pad, there's no reason to go to any doctors, ER or anywhere.  Here in Sweden they sure are minimalists :)  I've thought of calling my midwife … so maybe I'll do that to get a second opinion.

I feel down.  I'm not stressing out as I know there is nothing to do.  It's out of my hands and I can only wait and see.  Being the person I am though, I have a really hard time with situations that are out of my hands … so I'm just depressed and get no joy from this pregnancy anymore … I feel mildly nauseous from time to time, have mild cramps, am freezing most of the time (have to have a sweater on all day) and I seem to have no energy, so that would be in keeping with the pregnancy symptoms ...

Blah.

Wilhelmina, how far along are you?

I'm feeling mild nausea and hungry often!

Today I have a migraine - though not a strong one - for the first time since I got pregnant. Ugh. I have had some moments of nausea, but I couldn't quite tell if they were pregnancy-related or migraine-related. I can't take migraine meds when I'm pregnant, and I don't like to use other painkillers either, but I ended up taking two paracet (500mg each), one in the morning and one this evening. The real solution would be to not be on the internet, but to be honest there is just absolutely nothing to do here in the Arctic, and I am a little too tired/headache-y to read a book or do anything that requires engaged attention. I will try not to stay online long, but I am at least skyping with a 10-year old friend in Canada. ;)

Ultrasound in exactly one week! Can't wait!

Finished my 8th week, entering the 9th.  Or so.  Not sure about my LMP.

I'm sorry to hear about your migraine … that must be pretty horrible.  I have a rather nasty headache as well and I'm incapable of doing anything.

I just want to poop. . . I don't have clinical constipation, but let's just say that what comes out is a LOT less than what goes in. I am so bloated and miserable. I just want to poop! And I am not your typical fiber eater, no. I eat tons of whole grains, nuts, beans, dried fruit, you name it! Very little refined sugars, white bread, etc. Help!

BLOATING...it's nuts! I'm only 5 weeks in and I feel like an elephant. I never experienced this with my first pregnancy. The only real nuesance with my first pregnancy was constipation early on, then it was like a walk in the park. Now its bloating and mild cramping that comes and goes...it's like I'm going to start my period, so annoying had to share

I'm almost 6 weeks.  I've had almost a full week of nausea.  The last few days have been crazy.  I wake up from it at night.  I'm so grateful for it since I didn't have it with my last 2 pregnancies and I ended up miscarrying.  :(

My nipples are also itchy and my stomach itched like crazy yesterday.  Nothing today.

I have to admit that I am scared that I will lose this baby so I'm happy every time I experience any symptoms.

The nausea has been miserable since Saturday afternoon. It's awful. Zofran does almost nothing now, eating doesn't help, I just want to die. And I have to somehow pack and take an 18-month-old on a six-hour plane trip on Friday. By myself.

Reading a thread from another DDC about how much better you feel at 9 weeks (I'll be 9 weeks tomorrow) did NOT improve my mood. If this is anything like my first pregnancy, I'm not even halfway done with the nausea...

monkeyscience - sorry to hear you are feeling so sick! ugh!

wilhelmina - thanks for your empathy, and sorry to hear that you were suffering from headache, too. Headaches suck!

AFM, another day, still the same migraine. When I'm not pregnant or TTC I take Relpax, which is a miracle drug for me. Right now I am so sad that I can't take it! My migraine is less "foggy" and dispersed than it was yesterday, and more sharply focused. It kind of comes and goes in strength. It makes me not hungry for anything, but then I get pregnancy nausea if I don't eat. It is only 9.45 am -- how am I going to make it through the day?! It is another 9-4 teaching day, but luckily today it is my colleague's turn to take the reins, so I am sitting at the back of the room, sort of surfing the web, sort of watching what is going on. Typically when I have a migraine, if I don't take meds it only will go away once I have had a few hours sleep (though sometimes, like today, it is worse in the morning). I have never had a migraine last more than two days though, so I'll just have to suffer through today and hope that tomorrow is better.

(Staying off the internet would help but otherwise I would be SO bored sitting back here!)

Saw the little one today ... Started crying. Measuring at 7.5 weeks (week 8). Got a picture to take with me. Everything looks just fine according to the ultrasound specialist. The little heart is beating smile.gif

So, I am feeling pretty much nothing.  My breasts are a bit sore and I pee often, but that's IT.  Zero nausea or aversions.  Zero fatigue.  Much less emotional.  Zero bloat.  I am 5w3d.  With my boys, I know by now I was feeling very tired, like I was falling asleep by 9pm every night.  I worked a 12 hour night last weekend and didn't even feel the want to put my head down during my shift.  Also, with my boys, I wasn't super sick at this point, but food in general just sounded bad/different.

I'm not "worried" per se, because I know I have no control, and sometimes pregnancies just don't make it.  I've never had a loss before, I just kind of want to know what's going on.

Those of you who have had losses, did you have a dramatic lack of symptoms?

I know, I know, symptoms come and go and every pregnancy is different.  But this is my 4th baby (first is almost 16 whom I placed in an open adoption), and I just feel like I kind of know what my body feels like when it's pregnant, you know?  I don't feel pregnant at all.

Any insight is appreciated!!!

BeDazzel, I am also experiencing elephant-like bloating! Yesterday,it was so bad my stomach looked distended! Big and round and protruding! I couldn't take it anymore, so I skipped one of my 3-a-day prenatals and drank a cup of hot lemon water. Flatulence all night, a BM this morning, and now my belly almost looks normal again! I feel so much better.

Thank you smile.gif a picture is sure worth a thousand words - seeing the little one was amazing.

I'm still spotting, but it's mild and seems harmless (knock on wood). I'm afraid the ultrasound won't totally stop me from worrying, but it definitely helped.

Copper - With my miscarriage, I had very few symptoms - mostly just fatigue. It was totally different than my first pregnancy and this pregnancy. I hope you are just getting lucky with lack of symptoms, though!

I've had plenty of bloating (more so than with my first pregnancy) and my digestion has slowed waaayyyy down. My first symptom this time was definitely super-scent, and in the last two days, that has increased so dramatically that I'm starting to have cases of the queasies when I smell something overly fragranced or otherwise unpleasant. This makes teaching college freshmen (some of whom are still learning the fine art of laundry) more than a little challenging!

Holy gas batman!  I must be the most gaseous pregnant woman on earth … I seriously disgust myself … sometimes :rotflmao
