or lack of in our case. we are drawing a TOTAL blank on any and all names....ug. With my first 2 we had names pretty much from day 1 and never looked back. We found them and we LOVED them. I can't seem to find ANYTHING for this babe...not a single name that even makes the list!

My first is Peyton Jack (boy), second is Austyn Jaia (girl).....our last name is Henry which poses a challenge in itself because it really doesn't go well with a lot of names. We like original but not totally crazy.

Anyone have any suggestions? we don't know what we are having so I need starters for both.

Same here. :/ I'm pretty much avoiding names at this point, until we find out the sex. I can't pick one for each. With my daughter, we'd already been tossing names around for YEARS and it still took the whole pregnancy to agree on one (actually, we didn't agree, I gave in after she was born).  I'm a bit scared that we haven't really looked yet.

We also like "original but not crazy". And our last name is Brown. Which yup, sounds like it would be so easy to match with, but isn't. One of the only names I like is Sawyer, but I can't get over "Sawyer Brown". sigh.

I did like nameberry lists though. There's a lot of good ideas on there (just nothing DH and I agree on).

Names we considered last time- Harper, Merick, Ryan (for a girl), Adlee,

We're not very close either. I have 4 or 5 I'd be fine with but none stick out as THE name and my husband has iffy excuses for all of them or just doesn't love them. Blargh.

I only have the middle name picked out so far (my sister's forename) but for a first name I'm also stuck. There's plenty of time to choose one so I'm not stressed about it. I will have to check out those name sites. I do have one name but I'm going back and forth with it a lot so not sure that's a good sign!

i seem to be attracted to unisex names but because the other 2 are already very heavy on the unisex we are leaning away from that slightly with this babe....maybe;)

thanks for the website suggestions - ill let ya'll know if/when I find anything.

We were so grateful this one has turned out to be a girl. We would not have been able to decide on a name at all if it were a boy. We knew almost at the exact same moment what we'd name a girl once we heard the name. Laugh if you want but we're American Horror Story fans and this season was The Coven and there was a witch in there, beautiful hippie witch named Misty-Day and as soon as we heard her name we both immediately looked at each other and confirmed that would be her name. Only thing is, we're not sure about spelling. We don't want it to just be "Misty-Day" and have people just think of a misty day. So, we were thinking:

Misty-Dae

Mystie-Day

Her full name will be Misty-Day Ann James, just trying to figure out spelling and such. lol (Ann after my recently late grandmother)

If this baby is a boy, I'm pretty sure we'll name him Patrick Harold. If it's a girl, I'm leaning towards Alice, but I don't have a clue on a middle name. I refuse to decide for sure until after I meet my baby though.

We finally decided on a name! Miranda Claire. It's official. I'm happy we know what we're calling her. smile.gif

Love Patrick! My brother is a Patrick. If we had a boy he was going to (or someday will be) named Nicholas Patrick.

we are going with either Vivian Cass or Anne (Annie) Cass. my husband def prefers Annie, but i think i'm leaning towards Vivian. i really like the nickname options with Vivian and the name just sounds so powerful and confident.

We like the name Daisy but on paper her first name will be Margaret. In Spanish Margarita means Daisy so that is the nickname we've chosen. Still trying to figure out a middle name. If she is born on her due date hubby insists it'll have to be Summer. I'm not sold on that one yet.

Annie could always be a nickname for Vivian. And Vivian is much more grown up sounding if she prefers that when she's older. smile.gif

Eta: you could even spell it Vivianne.

I love, love, love Miranda Claire.  So elegant.

My girl name for the last 3 pregnancies has been Rowan Idella.  Idella is my grandmother's name, and I've always been really close to her so I would love to honor that relationship by naming her first great granddaughter after her.  I've always loved the name Rowan, but now that we know we're having a girl, DH doesn't seem enamored with it.  He wants a more feminine name.  Now we have the challenge of coming up with names that go with Idella.  Our boy's names are Jacob Conner, Mason James, and Jeremy Barrett.  Our last name starts with K.  I like less traditional names, but DH likes more traditional names.  Any help is appreciated!!

Thank you! It took us a while, but I love it.

I'd avoid anything ending in -a for a first name since it would sound sing-songy. An idea is maybe a traditional name with a fun nickname? Like Madeleine, and you could call her Maddie. Charlotte=Lottie or Charlie. My boyfriend's little girl is Evangeline, and they call her Evan, which I think is adorable.

So now that we're having a BOY, we're in full-on naming mode.  I still love the idea of naming after my husband (Nicholas James, Cole for short), but for some reason my husband isn't totally sold on it. Which is fine, I guess, I just really thought he would love the idea....

We like the names Jackson and Henry a lot, but they are SOOOOOO popular right now. Middle name will be a family name, either Chase, James, or Robert.  I thought Jackson Chase sounded like such a cool name, but now I'm doubting myself because there will not doubt be 11 boys in his elementary school with the name Jackson!

Any help would be appreciated?  One my hubby just threw out the other day was Potter, and I kinda am starting to like it....but the nicknames, oh boy, the nicknames. Potty? Pot Head? Harry Potter?  Ugh.....

What about Chase Jackson? I'm partial to those two names. lol My cousin is named Chase and he plays for the Rams. And DS2's middle name is Jaxson. lol
