we'll be moving to a new house early next year. we'll be replacing most of our furniture - much of which is disgusting, particularly our sofa.
we have two cats - one is a black kitty and the other a white maine coon/persian mix (read: super big and fluffy). neither are declawed and both (especially the maine coon persian guy, milo) like to scratch furniture. and, of course, there's the fur issue.
and, we have a daughter who will be 16 months (wow, my little girl will be so big!) by then and may or may not like to make messes
anyone in a similar situation where they will be or already have bought new furniture and live in a house with pets (particularly ones that scratch) and little kids?
we've done the thrift store/used furniture thing since we moved in together 5 years ago. we're ready to move on to more classy home decor.
