So a very nice friend of mine gave me a brand new Medela pump. It's a double automatic (or whatever, not manual), but it is not hands-free. For those of you who know, how important is hands-free? My midwife has also written me a prescription for a hands-free pump to get from the hospital after I deliver (not hospital-grade, but a Medela one that is like one step up from the one I have). Insurance will pay 80% of the one I get from the hospital.
Soooo....how key is hands-free? Is it worth paying 20% vs. using the free one? I am going to be working part-time, probably going to the office 2 days/week, but otherwise hope to mostly breast feed and no pump.
Thanks for any input!
