Any Baby Arrivals yet? - Page 5
please keep me in your thoughts... my edd is Wednesday.. but my OB wants me to come in today and check my amniotic fluid levels... if they're low today she wants to induce...
I'm so ready to meet my little girl, but I'd love to have more time to give her a chance to come without an induction...
well, it looks like I'm getting induced... my OB doesn't want to take any risks with the low fluid levels and also my age-38- so I'm gonna go to hospital tomorrow night and prob get cervadil to try to start things.... my cervix is soft but closed.... so she can't even strip my membranes.... so tonight, I'm having lots of sex! and perhaps some things will change before tomorrow night! otherwise, it looks like this girl might arrive on her due date, Wednesday!
Congrats to everyone who has had their arrivals! I was due yesterday with my first but am still waiting. I do think I might have lost my mucus plug this morning, though.
*TMI Warning* I had a huge glob of whitish-yellow discharge this morning that felt the same as a blood clot during my menstrual cycle. I've read that you don't have to have blood in it for it to be the MP, so I am hopeful that it really was it and maybe things will start happening in the next couple of days. I've been having some of the same discharge for a few days now, never as much though. I mentioned it to my midwife at my visit yesterday and she seemed excited but didn't say anything about the plug.
Fingers crossed for all of us waiting! (I'm thinking I may end up with a March baby though, lol!)
I am 40 weeks and 5 days. I had my OB check today. I am 2.5cm dilated 60% effaced. I had membrane sweeping done. It didn't hurt a bit. I'm hoping it'll start things soon. Did anyone else have their membranes swept? Did you go into labor from it and when? This is my 3rd baby and the 1st time i've had it done so i'm not sure what to expect.
Nola Virginia arrived one week ago today - exactly one week past her due date. Like some of the rest of you, labor was not at all how I anticipated, but I was able to hang in there and do it all natural, despite almost having pitocin and/or vacuum extraction at the end. My cervix was acting crazy (appearing and reappearing) and she got stuck and was turning the wrong way, but luckily they were able to adjust things and she was born at 1pm on Feb 20, 8lbs 13oz. Already back up to her birth weight! A super eater :)
Congrats to all the rest of you, and those of you who are still waiting, hang in there!!
so we opted for a c-cection... and we are so glad we did! phoebe was born healthy and beautiful... the outcome we hoped for!!
