I haven't made it to the pool since I posted my lofty goals... I just can't seem to make myself to voluntarily have wet hair in this weather... *sigh*

Walking? not a problem...

I stretched some, but not enough.

I think my grocery haul this morning counts as a workout... 2 giant tote bags, plus my messenger bag plus 2 double-bagged paper bags all filled to capacity at Trader Joe's... trudging through the snow (granted I didn't have THAT far to go) and up/down several sets of stairs (subway + I live on the 2nd floor)... I've felt light as a feather since I dropped off the groceries at home (you know, I'm the crazy pregnant lady running up the subway stairs and sprinting across 34th street... lol!)

Joining in here! Hubby and I started a calendar and we're giving ourselves stickers like 1st graders for the days we exercise :p DH gets a star, and I get a heart. It's sort of a competition. So far, we both need to get more stickers!

Have an elliptical at home, so I really need to do this more often. It's darned snowy here in Worcester (just got about 8 inches today) so walking in the neighborhood isn't super fun, but I'd like to do the elliptical at least 3x/week for 15-20 min at the least.

Prenatal yoga- I've been doing these routines: http://youtu.be/B87FpWtkIKA and http://youtu.be/44fYnoSLL3c. Just found this one: http://youtu.be/PiSp9fnekZc, and here's a meditation with her: http://youtu.be/HKr9fR5oOf8. There's also a few prenatal yoga classes in the area, but damned if I can get to them. After work, I just want to go home. I have a choir I sing in once a week, and it's hard enough getting to that (love that my babe is hearing lots of choral music though!)

@Activia , that dance routine looks fun! Gonna try that out I think.  And this weekend, I'm going snowshoeing! Love it, it's so fun to get out in the woods!

Here's hoping for more stickers on my calendar :)

I did horrible this week :) strained a round ligament and my midwife said I just needed to rest. Hopefully this next week I can get back on track so I don't balloon up! lol

I would like to join the challenge. I made a workout schedule today, actually.
My goals are as follows:
Mon- 20-30 minutes cardio ( walk/ jog intervals) and 10 minutes Pilates video. I have the 10 minute solutions "Prenatal Pilates" video series.
Tues- Crossfit mom workout from the Crossfit Mom Facebook page
Wed.- prenatal yoga video
Repeat that schedule over the next three days then a rest day on Sunday.
Repeat weekly slowly increasing jog/ walk ratio depending on how I am feeling that day.

I completed 28 minutes of 30 sec jog/ 1 1/2 minute walk intervals today...didn't feel up to adding Pilates at the time but had a decent stretch session after the intervals.

Well I was trying to clean the house yesterday and my back flared up. I have herniated my disc at S5/L1 twice so it's something I've struggled with before and know the signs of. I went to my chiropractor today, which helps, but no yoga for me today and probably no workout tomorrow. Ice and rest and I guess my DH gets to clean the house :) Hopefully I will be back in my routine soon!

Moving all weekend and though I tried not to lift anything heavy, you know I was doing way more than I should have!  Made it to yoga yesterday, plus moving in the afternoon, but I don't think I'll make it today.  Saturday was strictly moving.
In somewhat other news, we moved from a tiny studio to a huge 3B/2B with a large yard.  My feet hurt a lot from walking on the hard tile so much, even with shoes. I think I've "worked out" more in the last 2 days than I have in any two weeks of yoga straight!

Well this weekend and Monday (I had off) I didnt do any structured exercise but I walked around enough to actually feel it in my legs and my feet killed me at the end of the day. We did a lot of shopping and I did a lot of picking up/organizing the house. Back to the grind today so I'll do my dance at lunch and Yoga tonight.

I did do Yoga and dance on Friday.

@mease8 I hope you get better soon!

So I haven't been all that great at sticking to my workout plan. I've done some stretching, but not enough.

Yesterday I went crazy on the house and ended up with horrible pain in my right hip. In the evening I couldn't even bend over/down. This morning is much the same. Even walking hurts. I did some yoga and stretching to try and alleviate the pain, but sitting is what helps most. I'm so bummed.

I feel so weak this pregnancy, not strong and vibrant as I have in pregnancies past. I'm just not even sure how to get there again... :(

@Activia thanks! I'm feeling better today, although probably won't go to my workout again. I don't see a need to push it...

@LoveLife hang in there and take care of yourself! Maybe try icing your hip as you are sitting? My experience with my back is that there can be a lot of internal inflammation. I feel like I was always told to heat my back, but when I went to the chiropractor he told me to ice because of inflammation. Also, do you have a chiropractor you could see?

Walked 2.4 miles today... in the snow (uphill both ways, of course!)

I did my workout today even though I am extremely stuffy...ugh.
I did a five minute warmup, today's Crossfit Mom workout was a 21/15/9 of step ups and hang cleans. The total time only took me about 13 minutes, so I took my dog for a 15 walk so I can get closer to my 30 minute goal. I also did a stretch/ cool down session which pushed me over 30 minutes , so it worked out. Hope you ladies all feel better soon, injuries are no fun. greensad.gif @mease8, @lovinglife, and @Activia.

I did a quick yoga session and shoveled the driveway then finished out my hour exercise by doing a little dancing.

Completed 45 minutes of yoga as planned. smile.gif. Still fighting this cold but I'm gonna try and attack my cardio workout tomorrow. redface.gif

I decided to take my rest day today since I'm still feeling under the weather. I'll start my weekend with the cardio/ Pilates session. Here's to feeling better tomorrow!

Been pretty lax about my plans, but today, the weather was somewhat mild- so I went for a half-hour walk, followed by some shoveling. A little icy out there, had to walk slow, can't wait for spring!

I think I slacked on both wed and thursday... but I picked things up again today. I did an hour of dancing and some pretty hardcore... I also did 20 min of Yoga. I missed my lifting yesterday because my friend had to get home quickly and I had to go pick something up.. :(

I ended up going to the Doctor's office yesterday and sure enough, upper respiratory infection. I must be on the tail end of it though because I feel much better than I did in the beginning of the week. They put me on the Z pack and I rested the rest of the day. I did, however get my cardio and Crossfit Mom workout in this morning. I feel wonderful! I think I'm upping my jog interval to one minute jogging and two minutes walking. Thirty seconds just doesn't give me enough umph. Tomorrow I plan on doing yoga and starting the week with my schedule all over again.

My hip is still bugging me some, but nothing like the day I posted my little pity party on here. LOL. Everyday since then I've done some yoga. Not much, a probably 10 minute hip/back segment. I'm hoping to add to it next week. The yoga feels good, but my hips let me know if I overdo, so I'm trying to pace myself so I can still do stuff around the house, etc.

I feel you.. Saturday I had to have a "day of rest" from everything I did on Friday..and what hurt the most? My hips... I could barely stand up straight. I had a Chiro adjustment today tho.. so she helped with my hips some more.

Sunday I did a ton of pick up and cleaning around the house so I'd say I walked around the house for a good two hours.

I think the HIIT training is pretty much off my plan lol. I'll just stick to the lighter exercise (dancing and Yoga) and the one day of lifting. But I do have to add some stuff in for my hypnobabies.

Squats (usually part of my dancing anyway but I'm going to try to get more in.)

50 Kegels

50 Pelvic Rocks

Inner thigh stretch

I'm going to try and do 5-10 squats every time I go to the bathroom and 10 Kegels when I get back to my seat.
