Check in here, mamas. How are you feeling? What's going on with you this week?

I am SO exhausted! I fell asleep right beside my older boys yesterday. I just sat down and when I woke up 30 minutes had gone by. Last night dh and I got to have a date night! We went one town over to the jewelry store to pick up a ring I had repaired, then off to dinner and a little pub/burger bar. I had an amazing carolina burger and homemade potato chips and a chocolate milkshake. I was in pregnant lady heaven! Then we went shopping and bought the boys some new clothes. We had a great time!

I am just swollen, sore, and pissed off.  My boobs hurt SO bad and nursing is SO painful. I don't feel emotionally ready to wean but I don't know how much more painful sessions I can tolerate.  I'm as irritable as a person can be and I'm just exhausted.  Not so much that I can't get up off the couch, but I'm just foggy and headache-y.  I can tell I've gained weight already, which is fine (I gained a ton the first tri with my daughter, too) but I just feel uncomfortable in my body.  Jeans are tight and clothes are starting not to fit right.  I love being pregnant... after the first trimester.  I hate the first trimester.  I am barely nauseated, though, which is nice.

ETA: I'm 8 weeks 1 day.

Today I peed a little and didn't even notice when it happened . . . I thought that part came later in the pregnancy. Guess it's now lol. My boobs hurt sometimes, but they don't hurt ALL the time and it isn't as bad as it was. I'm a  little nauseous at times, but I haven't vomitted yet. I'm afraid to eat anything processed because I don't want our embryo's brain to be made out of pizza!

I am feeling great so far-only 4 weeks.  I am a little tired and feel like my body is doing some changing.  My 14 month old decided to wean and start sleeping through the night.  My supply tanked this past week and after spending the night with grandparents he has lost interest in nursing.  I feel amazing with full nights of sleep after a year of broken sleep.  I am on this fitness craze right now.  My husband and I started working out around the new year and I am determined to have a fit pregnancy.  I am 10 lbs lighter than I started the last time and I hope that I can stay active throughout the entire pregnancy.

I'm hitting that point int he day where I'm just done, to tired to do anything. Thankfully it is a nice day and the kids are getting to run and play outside. I've had fabric piled on the toddler bed forever, and need to get it cleaned off so the 18 month old can sleep there. Not sure it it all will happen today, but I need to start. I also need to do a water change on the fisht tanks, not wanting to pack the 5 gal bucket back and forth. Mostly this week I'm just cleaning, tending to kids and trying to listen to my body.

I'm exhausted, but that's not all that unusual. My boobs are tender but not too bad. Took a walk with dh today for about 45 minutes, and that felt good. Tummy is starting to act up. Combination of smells causing nausea, boating, gas, and cramping. My girls are having a rare moment of getting along so at the moment I'm crashed on the couch practicing my "Mother Of The Year" acceptance speech eyesroll.gif

I'm starting out a lot heavier than the last two pregnancies, but I'm determined to stay healthy and not gain 40 pounds again! I probably need to keep it under 20, which seems daunting, but I'll try. I'm so eager to tell SOMEONE the good news but I'll suffice with chatting it up on here where no one knows me irl. peace.gif

Six weeks along and the nausea is here. I feel like CRAP but I secretly enjoy it, because it reminds me of my little sweet-pea-to-be.

I'm craving all kinds of stuff I normally never eat, like Chinese food, hot dogs, and all the Easter candy in Target. I have not indulged and am sticking to my healthy diet (You made me laugh, ADSC!) Oh, which reminds me--I discovered today that a few olives helps the queasies go away between meals.

I took so many naps when I was pregnant with my son, and I miss that already. Having a no-napping almost-3-year-old is kicking my butt.

Edit: I forgot to add my nipples are super super sore, too. I have to protect them from the wrath of the shower spray! Nursing hurts only at the beginning of the latch, thankfully, though we only nurse twice a day now anyway.

I'm starting to have the sharp twinges in my groin area.

And I have a "restless legs" feeling. :/ Very annoying when you're trying to sleep.

I'm nervous...I feel like joining a DDC is a bit premature, but I'm trying to stay positive, so I'm just going with it. I never really have symptoms when I'm pregnant...but I am still having boob twinges that began about a week ago. I'm only 4 weeks. Other than that I'm just anxious!

I am doing ok. Been walking every day, eating more than usual to keep the queesiness down. I am tired and sleeping more than ever. Like 10-12 hours. I guess I am making up for not sleeping with my son until he was three. He is 4 now and he finally sleeps through the night consistently for about a year. It seems like the green drinks really help with my energy and I haven't had one in four days. Feel like I should be more nauseous, as I was already puking at this point in my first pregnancy, but people keep telling me every  pregnancy is different.

I'm also nervous about joining a DDC so early. Here's hoping things go well for all of us!

I'm only four weeks along, so no nausea yet. I had HORRIBLE morning sickness with my first, starting around five and a half weeks, so I'm trying to enjoy food as much as I can right now.

I'm 4 wks, 3 days.  This is my first and I'm super excited and I don't know what any of the acronyms mean that people use. I don't feel tired or nauseous but have some occasional cramping like I do when I've gotten my period--especially in my back.

I don't know if I've EVER been on the Internet more looking up every single symptom to make sure it is "normal" and looking up every food and drink I want to eat/drink to make sure they are safe for pregnancy.  It's a lot to think about!

So--I got this strange symptom out of the blue today--red bumps (like a dark red line under the crease of my breast) and I've found things on the Internet about heat rash but it doesn't itch at all--just very tender/sore to the touch.  I've never had this before and I'm not sure what it is.  Do you think this is something I need to be concerned about or it is this normal?  And what can I use on it?  I'm pretty holistic.

Looking forward to having a community of people I can discuss my boobs and a baby with. banana.gif

I was having muscle twitches tonight that felt like baby kicks. Lol! Creepy!

I haven't eaten much at all in the past two days, so I'm planning to make up for it today even though I have about zero appetite, but at least I don't feel nauseous!  Imma gonna make me some hummus! :wink

Hi all!

lmevans - I get restless legs at night, too! Last night was the third night of that delightful symptom.

I've also started waking up in the middle of the night to pee, and not being able to get back to sleep again. The peeing at night started around the middle of week 4, but the not sleeping is new - and it is so frustrating! Hopefully it will pass. I'm also starting to feel very slightly nauseated - not to the point of throwing up, but to the point where on the one hand I kind of want to eat to make the feeling go away, and on the other hand nothing sounds appealing. Actually, the only thing I want today is a burrito -- maybe we can make that for dinner, though it is hard to buy same-day ripe avocados, and a burrito is a total no-go without guacamole!

Yesterday I went to yoga and today I went swimming, so I feel good about that! I was hoping to be able to go down 5-10 pounds in the first trimester, not by being unhealthy but by focusing my eating on veggies and proteins (beans, nuts) and fruit and whole grains, and exercising. It seems kind of unlikely to me that that's actually going to happen because I have been eating more carbs than usual, but at least for the past week my weight is holding steady (though I feel incredibly bloated!). I was happy that when I got into my swimsuit today I actually felt like I looked fitter than I did last time I was swimming (which, admittedly, was sometime last Spring).

I have been having lots of trouble staying focused at work. I just DON'T want to be here, DON'T want to do anything. I'm tired a lot of the time and just want to veg out. But I'm teaching in the arctic all week next week, so I have a bunch of stuff to prep. Yup, going to the University Center in Svalbard, the northernmost university in the world! Google map "Svalbard" to get a sense of where I will be. It will be a little weird, because last time I was there was just a few days after my miscarriage, and I was very shellshocked. Hopefully this time will be a whole lot better!

ohmygoodness Svalbard looks very cool.  Figuratively and literally!

I'm in that same boat as many here.  5 weeks today, btw.  Yippee!  Love day when week upgrades.  lol  I'm nauseous because I'm hungry but I try to eat and after 5 bites, I feel nauseas because I'm full.  Boobs hurt.  So tired I feel like I could cry sometimes.  And I do.  Not that that helps.  lol

I always though we would have 4 great pregnancies (starting that #4). I always thought I would be pregnant for my 10 year class reunion (that is this year) and I always thought i would have twins. So because this is our last, it has me really wondering if there could be twins in the mix for us... :heartbeat

~~Welcome~~

I'm not feeling much of anything. My digestion is a little weird and I'm having sugar aversions but I don't actually feel "pregnant".
