how much do your babies move?

So, how much do you feel your baby move?

I hate the "you look huge it must be twins" conversation. It's like people.can't be excited about one baby, they have to hope for two or something. So, I decided I wasn't even going to entertain the thought this time.

But, well, my fundus is high (which is not that off for sixth pregnancy), and I'm much sicker (which could be blood sugar issues), but now there is so much movement!

Tonight, I was feeling super big wiggles and flips and stuff. For at least a week, I have been feeling the baby multiple times each day. I won't be 14 weeks until tmrw.

So, im curious...anyone else feeling movement like that?!?

Oh that's a bummer that people can't just be happy for you either way. I find comments like that during pregnancy so irritating.

I've felt a few sensations but nothing that is definitely baby yet.
My placenta is anterior so might be a while before I feel movement yet.

I'm 13+4 with baby no. 2 but will have a 7 year age gap so not sure if all the subsequent baby stuff about feeling them earlier and showing earlier applies. I'm certainly not obviously pregnant yet.

I'm 12+3 with twins and am only feeling teeny tiny little movements. I'm not 100% confident that they're baby movement yet. I'm guessing another week or two is going to make a big difference. And btw, since finding out I'm having twins, I love asking other pregnant mamas if it's twins. mischievous.gif

I am about 13 weeks with baby #7 (9th pregnancy). I am pooching out and in maternity pants but my fundus is still pretty low. I thought may have felt some flutters a week ago but nothing more since then. I am not really expecting much for another month. We did get our dating ultrasound on Wed. and got to see the little bean jumping around in there, so s/he is definitely moving a lot.

I'm 13+5 with baby #3 and big (but only gained a pound... Had a flat tummy 6 weeks ago). Fundus about an inch from navel and I'm definitely feeling movement! This morning when I woke up I thought I could feel 2 little lemons in there and 2 areas of movement, but who knows! I always have one rock hard lemon size ball way up past my belly button when I wake up!

i DID have that w/ my 4th pregnancy.  not this one yet.  15 weeks, high LARGE fundus (easily larger than a grapefruit from side to side) and some shifting sensations but not movement or wiggles yet.  started waiting quietly 2-3x a day just to listen to the LO.  :lurk

yes on the twins thing!  i get tired/annoyed of that.  i really hate it when at 22 weeks everyone swears i look large enough for twins (cause i haven't had an ultrasound or anything like that they seem to think i could be hiding another extra person in there) and they're confused when i'm like 'it's just one.  one baby.  another wonderful baby!'  but i've gotten used to people just acting like from 24 weeks on i'm about to drop and give birth in the grocery store aisle or something.

people are weird and over dramatic sometimes!  but it seems they still don't get the practical support like someone offering to take my groceries to the car for me..... or help me load and unload them!!!

In the exact same position here.  15 weeks...and sometimes I feel...something...?  Sometimes I THINK I feel a flutter?  I have the shifting sensations though I wasn't sure if it was baby or not.

Can't wait for more!!

Well, interesting. I guess I really am feeling a lot more movement than others. Wonder what that means?

I have felt all my babies early, and maybe this one just likes to ride high and forward? I look at least six months pregnant, though, and while some of it is previous baby extras, a lot of it is this baby. I did feel my #4 strongly, too, but a few weeks later. I could feel her sailing from one side to the other, like she was pushing off the edge of a swimming pool and gliding. But this is different...its A LOT of movement.

Oh well, we are going to have an u/s at 18 weeks, I guess I will know then. I'm pretty impatient now, though!

i actually started feeling this baby about 2 1/2 weeks ago at 10 and half weeks.. i know its' CRAZY!!  it's my 4th... I am over 13 weeks now ..

Once in a while I think I do, but I can't be certain. This is my 9th. Earliest I felt movement was with last baby at a little over 14 weeks (I am 14 today with this one) and even then it was DAYS before I would feel it again. I am a stomach sleeper and noticed it most at night on my belly before I got so uncomfortable that I had to side sleep. The issue this time is that I still vomit so much and have pretty bad spells of digestive issues so any small rumblings can easily be dismissed as morning sickness issues. I really don't expect to be "Wow'd" for another week or two. BUT I am definitely showing. That is to expected with so many kids, though.

@FisherFamily I just posted about this on another thread today...

"BTW - I'm 16 weeks and 4 days. Would it be crazy for my husband and I to have felt the baby kicking this morning? I felt some blurps, touched my belly, felt it on my hand, then woke up       husband and HE could feel it too! Everyone already thinks I'm delusional when I tell them I feel lots of movement already ("It's just gas"... I'm pretty sure my uterus doesn't have gas)."

... And I'm also pretty sure there's only one in there. That was the first time the movement was so big - usually it's just little fluttery twitchy or flip-floppy feelings.

At my 16 week appointment last week I told MW that I was feeling the baby and she obviously didn't believe either me because she said 5 seconds later "You may not start feeling anything until as late as 24 weeks since it's your first". (Funny aside: I told her the baby was on my right side, she started the doppler on my left and couldn't find the heartbeat until she moved to the right - Boo-ya! In yo face!)

This is my first, but my fundus is super high (especially in the AM) so maybe that's our trick? I mean, I guess you can't rule out any possibilities, but judging by your previous history with early movement I wouldn't linger on the twin thoughts for too long. Maybe I'm just saying that to make myself feel better, haha!

I think it was around 17 weeks with our first. Actually it was my husband that felt him. I was asleep with my tummy to his back and he got kicked. :)

So, what do you all mean by your 'fundus is high?' Around 14 weeks, haven't felt anything. Had a Doppler just over a week ago and was told baby was moving like crazy tho :-)

The top of my uterus is almost to my belly button now, at 14.5 weeks. Average is midway between pubic bone and belly button at 16 weeks, and at the belly button at 20 weeks. A cm above that for every week after.

I just can't wait to feel some real movement!!!  Felt something last night that was really like.."Was that....?"  But then I rationalized it away as my intestines rumbling, although I did not fart after.  I'm 15 weeks 3 days

I'm 16 weeks...sometimes I think I feel movement, but I am having the worst gas, and it could be the gas. Heck-some nights I think the gas bubbles would be stronger than the babies kicks.

So looking forward to when I feel baby move regularly- it's so reassuring.

Ladies!!!  Definitely feeling something moving in there now!   There's just nothing else it can be!  I've felt it several times today, a shifting and swishing and poking sensation that is much stronger then last week!

Had an ultrasound yesterday and the placentas are anterior so I probably won't feel regular moving for a couple of weeks. The twins are higher of course; my fundus is just under my belly button with a full bladder, a little lower without. They are stacked one laying on top of the other (when standing). Occasionally I feel what I'm pretty sure is movement, but it is few and far between. What I've felt has been a quick series of taps followed by nothing. smile.gif 13w4d today.
