3yo potty trained, but now having accidents?

My 3yo has been daytime potty trained since last summer. Still wears pull ups at night. I bet in 6 months she had maybe two or three accidents. Then last Saturday she had two accidents, another on Monday, and again today.

Only triggers I can think of are that DH went out of town on Saturday for a three day trip. We very seldom travel apart, but this was a special weekend away with his friends. I was sick this weeked, but was better by Sunday. Also, her 11 mo old sister is teething badly again and has been crying lately. But that is it, and the last accident (today) was while DDs were home alone with DH.

Anyone have any ideas for me?

My dd is 3.5 and even potty trained at night. She has been having accidents lately aswell. I think she gets so busy and waits to the very last minuite then runs to the bathroom or even just goes right there. I keep telling her don't wait till the last minuite. Some times she hops with her legs crossed and says she's not going to make it!! Could this be the same thing or do you think that she is doing this because of emotions.

I'd love to hear from other parents of 3 yo's. Could this just be the age, and learning to stop playing to go to the bathroom? I just don't understand why it happens after so many months of no accidents. But then, I guess I'm thinking of it as an adult and not as a 3yo.

Sorry, I didn't think 3.5 was not a three year old still. i figured 3.5 was close to three so i commented.

Sorry

I have a 3 year old son also. He has been potty trained since he was 2 1/2. He generally only has accidents when he's under stress (i.e. not sleeping well, schedule is off kilter, changes in visitation schedule with his dad) but he will every now and then be so intensely interested in and focused on something he's doing that he forgets to go to the bathroom. It can take my DS a few days to "bounce back" completely after a stress trigger.

No, no, no.... you misunderstand! I really appreciated your comment. It was what triggered my asking other parents to comment as well! Your note saying your 3yo was also having probs was what made me think maybe it is just the age, and I hoped other parents would chime in letting me know if they have similar incidents with their 3yo's. (And, my 3yo is actually 3.5, so yes, I consider a 3.5 yo to be a three year old child.)

Oh, Okay Sorry again
Actually since the last time I posted till now she has done this more often. STRANGE. I don't know why. Its just weird how you posted this and now it started happening to me more frequently. Now I am really curious, and hope its a stage...

My dd will be 3 next week and this past week has been a never ending string of wet undies headed to the washer!! Out of the blue! She has been fully day trained since last August... she still wears a diaper to bed...

It started Monday - two wet panties... then 3 on Tues, 4 or 5 on Wed, 2 again on Thurs.... I don't want to put her back in pullups, but geesh!!

I don't remember my son doing this! Maybe he did and I just don't remember.

I could take her to the potty and 15 min later there is a puddle. I am thinking it is a growth spurt and her body hasn't caught up with her bladder.
