Dyeing SolarVeil

I just got a new SolorVeil sling off the TP and it looks like great quality and so new it shines! The problem is, I'm not crazy about the color. It was green by the description, which I'm fine with. But, it's actually teal. I'm just not a fan of teal.

Do you know... Can I dye SolarVeil? If so, how?

Thanks!

You could try it, but I am willing to bet that it wouldn't work. It doesn't seem like it would absorb dye very well at all to me. I could be wrong, but I don't know....It may make it uglier.

I have one in that teal color too, but it was free (I traded) so I ain't complaining! LOL. But I am definitely not crazy about the color either. It reminds me of the 80s, like I should spike up my bangs and turn up my collar when I wear it.

I'm thinkign no. Jsut because of the properties of it it could end up really yucky looking. Instead check out a craft store and see if you can maybe find some good edgeing/border that can make it something you are more into?

I was thinking it probably wouldn't absorb the dye. It seems like each fiber is coated already. So... in the mean time I'll try to spike my bangs and find some acid washed jeans.

Actually, seems as though I've seen more teal in stores lately. Maybe it will come back into vogue. I bet Sarah Jessica Parker could pull it off!

Thank you for the suggestions!

I bought some white solarveil through a coop once and the organizer said that the solarveil folks told her she could dye it with RIT dyes. Maybe worth emailing the fine folks at Solarveil and asking?
