Ggggrrrr. I ordered a baby carrier a month ago and still haven't gotten it. I emailed the company 2 days ago and haven't gotten a reply. I'm so annoyed. I am being too impatient? What should I do?

That depends.... what sling was it? I know of at least one wahm who has a waiting list far longer than a month

I was just about to post the exact same thing except now I'm just angry!
Maybe we're talking about the same company? I ordered a EBMT the first week of March and got a reply that it would take 1-2 wks. After 4 wks, I sent several emails and never got a reply. Then I finally tracked her down on another forum and she wrote me back that I was next and I could expect it at the end of the week. That was over 2 wks ago. Now it has been nearly 8 wks and I'm fed up. I think it was extremely rude of her never to explain the wait was longer or to give me updates. Especially because I ordered this because I didn't want to wait for a kozy. Now dd and I are leaving home for 14 wks in 2 days and I have don't have my new carrier. So in answer to your post, no, I don't think you are being impatient if you were expecting it earlier. The seller should notify you if things aren't being made at the pace she expected. An explanation would be received far better than not replying!!!!

Depends on the company. Most WAHMs do everything themselves so it could very well take a month for a sling. Some WAHMs have 2 months or more on sligns. I've been fortunate to be able to cut back mine but I've been on the 1 month plus at one time. Thats one way we WAHMs are able to keep the prices of slings down. For example, I'll be hireing a seemstress in the future to spead up production and able to keep more in stock , BUT that means I'd have to raise the price as well. So It all depends, I guess, on if its something you really want.

I would give her another email and ask about ETA. A busy busy WAHM may honestly just gotten behind or missed your email. I always give people a couple emails before I assume they are blowing me off.

Anyways, goodluck and I hope you get it resolved and get your sling soon!

ETA: Ask her if she has a list or group set up for order updates. I know a few do and its helpfull to the customers. I think Kangaroo Korner does and I do , I'm sure theres gotta be more. Anyways, if she does its a good way to be able to 'self-check' on the status. Or I like how Kristen at Hotslings does hers with the note on the frontpage that says what order she is on according to dates. So awesome!

Glittergal we are talking about the same thing!

It's an EBMT. The wait was 1-4 weeks, which was fine. I just want a reply letting me know when I can expect it so I don't run to the door every time I see the mail lady. Plus it's just bad business to not answer a customer's emails. Now I'm getting annoyed and I'm furious for you!
