is anyone measuring big?

I went in for my check up earlier this week and had my fundal height measured. I don't think my chart was updated when they started a new page so my old due date (7/19 from LMP) was still on the top. Anyway, so she said I was 28w2d. I really didn't think too much of it, but this morning in the shower I realized that I was 26w2d at the time of my appt. When she measured me I was measuring at 29 weeks. My due date was changed to 8/1 early on after an early ultrasound back in January. This would put me back to my original due date of mid July. I've been feeling much further along than 26 weeks since this is my 3rd pregnancy. I even told my dr that when I was there. Either my due date is off or I have a huge baby boy. My girls were 6lbs 12 oz and 7lbs 12 oz, not huge.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

I usually end up measuring small, but so far have not been measured with this pregnancy.

What caused them to move your due date to 8/1? Since you have done this before and have a "feeling" that you are further along and are measuring ahead I would take it all into account and be ready in early July!

I'd also discuss it with your practitioner at your next appt!

The reason they changed my due date back in January because I hadn't been having regular periods due to nursing my now 2 year old. So they did an ultrasound around 10 weeks or so and the measurements of the baby were consistently smaller than what they should be with a baby of that age. Did that make sense?

I measured a little over a week ahead today at an ultrasound. Since this is my first, I have no idea what will actually happen.

You can measure completely differnetly from one hour to the next because of the baby's position. If the baby's butt is up, it can be more. I was always measuring small last time, and my baby was 8lbs. 7ozs. I never got over 37-38 cm. So I don't think it's a very reliable way to tell if you are going to have a big baby.

I should probably add that I was measuring ahead last month too. When I feel him squirming and kicking, I feel him underneath my ribs and hitting my bladder and sometimes my cervix all at the same time. make sense?

I have been measuring "big" since I was first measured. My last appt I was 30w 3 days and measured 33 weeks.... I agree with the questionable reliability of these measurements though. Positioning of the baby would have to affect the measurements I would think

I've measured "big" at my last two appointments. At 20 weeks I measured 23 and today at 28 weeks I measured 30. Don't know what it means, but I feel proud! My NP comments on it but doesn't think of it as anything.
