Hi everyone! I just discovered this club thanks to Mamajaza. I'm due with a boy sometime in mid to late July. I have a 17-month old daughter, cloth diaper and breastfeed. I'm excited to be a mother again - It's the best thing I've ever experienced. Keep in touch.

Hi! So are you going to tandem nurse? I'm definately going to because my baby is soooo attatched to her "meemee's" ... Was your DD late or early, or "right on time"? My DD was 9 days "overdue", which to me, was the perfect day.

Nice to see you've joined the july tribe! Have a beautiful day~~

I had my first baby a week before my due date. I went to work that day. Left work at about 11:30am and had her at 3:37pm. I'm hoping this one goes as easy. Those of you who have had more than one baby, - Is the second time around faster and easier??

P.S. I want to tandem nurse, but she seems to be weaning herself.

The second time was easier and in half the time. I think it was easier due to me being comfortable with my birth setting the second time around. The contractions were just as hard, but in between I was so happy and at ease, that they did not seem as difficult as the first time.

Welcome!

I can't answer your birth question, but My Goodness, I hope it goes faster this time!

Just wanted to say hi and welcome. I'm due at the same time and was unable to bf DS #1. For DS #2 (due in mid to late July) I'm bf and cloth diapering.
Sounds like you were more sucessful. Do you have any tips Mamibeth?
I hope your labor is much easier and faster; from what I've heard the second one is usually both. Good luck.

My first two weren't as close together, but my first labor was 4.5 hours and my second labor was 30 minutes... so shorter is a possibility.

I have a friend who has long labors, two days of active labor. She was due last week with numer six (the oldest is six) and none of her labors have been any faster than the one before or any easier... It totally depends on your comfort level with giving birth and your body!

Liba-
THAT IS NOT WHAT I WANTED TO HEAR! (is there a pout smilie?)

Goo took 49 hours of active labor. I was hoping to at least get that down to 36 hours this time!

LOL so you can do what I did! Your second labor could be 1/9th of your first labor and you can have a nice short labor Just don't do what my friend did LOL
