Does anyone know how to do a back-carry with a wrap (and a 6.5 month old)? Is it even possible? Thanks!

Sure can! The wrap cross carry is my favourite for back carries. Very comfortable and secure. Peppermint has great instructions: http://www.peppermint.com/wrapcrossbackcarry.htm

Thanks for the link -- that is great! I am going to try it with my hug-a-bub! When you wear yours like this does it stay tight for a while? I stopped using the hug-a-bub with the front carry because once DD started squirming around it got loose too often and was a pain to re-adjust.

The key with the knit wraps is to get them nice and snug starting out. To the point where your daughter is up high and in your face in the front carry. Within about five minutes she'll settle down into the carrier, and you really shouldn't notice it getting any looser as you wear it. Though if you're popping her in and out you may have to readjust/re-tie after a while because it starts to get a little sloppy.

The HaB is pretty narrow, so I've never really liked it for a back carry. It just doesn't feel secure enough to me. But I have heard others say they use it on the back and like it just fine. I recommend you practice over a bed or other soft surface, and make sure to get a really good look at it in a mirror afterwards just to be sure the spread is good and your daughter is in there securely.
