Product name: New Native Baby Carrier

Brief description of product: Pouch sling made of 100% cotton fabric

Store/Site of purchase: Babystyle.com

Price:$35

How long have you used this product? 11 months

Fit/Sizing: I found the recommended sizes to run large. I had to return it for a size smaller than suggested and then it fit well. I think the suggestions tend to run large which makes for the pouch sitting too low.

Performance:

Pros:
The New Native worked very well when ds was newborn to about 4 months when he liked to be in the cradle hold and spent lots of time sleeping. It was very easy to learn as someone new to slings and easy to care for which was great. As baby got older/bigger and didn't care for the cradle hold I don't find I use it as much. I occasionally use it in the hip carry, but don't find it as comfortable now that ds is older/heavier. There are other carries suggested in the instructions but they never worked for us.

It was easy to nurse in the New Native in the cradle position. You just have to pull back the inner fabric to give baby access. I found this to be a great carrier for travel as it was easy to use and nurse in.

Cons:
Since it is not adjustable getting a perfect fit is difficult. I have to wash and dry it fairly often to keep it to the right size as it stretches a bit with use.

Workmomship: Very well made.

Customer Service/Communication: No problem exchanging it at babystyle.com (I know you can purchase this product at several different places)

Would you purchase this product again? Yes

Additional Comments: There is a tacking stitch that prevents you from folding it over but it is easily removed and the instructions walk you through if you are unsure. Very clear instructions for use.

I give it (How many thumbs up out of five?): 4
