Sorry I haven't tried them, but the price seems really steep!

Have you tried using Bust's personals? personals.bust.com ? I like them best because more of the men seem to think the same way I do

The guy that runs it is a Christian but the service is open for all religions. A friend of mine that used it liked it because she took a personality profile at the beginning and the service only matches you with compatible people. The pictures of each other come later which makes more sense. Why pick someone based on a picture and a false little advertisement paragraph? The test asks the same questions so many time and so many ways it is hard to fool it, so you only get introduced to people who you truly have a chance of making a go of it with.

you can get coupon codes to make it less $ if you do the test and see compatible matches and wait to become a member- the eharmony emails you

My mom used eHarmony for a while, and then some guy found out her email address, home address, phone number, etc. pretty fast. He even had a local florist deliver flowers to her. She was pretty scared, but Eharmony was good about it and discontinued his account immediately. I know it's pretty easy to find all that info. online, but she hadn't even exchanged email addresses w/him yet, so.

I felt a little bad since she tried online matchmaking because I had such good success. I met my BF at christiancafe.com (a Christian singles site, obviously), and that was 1.5 years ago already. We're hoping to get married someday (hopefully sometime soon!).

Good luck with it all!

You know, I went to that singleparent site to look around (not interested in dating at all, just being a voyeur), and I was seriously creeped out by the selection. There were actually people with no chidren on there with user names like "JohnDoe69" or "xxJohnDoexxx."

I know of many people IRL who have found the loves of their lives on the internet. I think I am too scared to go that route if/when the time comes that I seriously want to start looking. It sounds like eharmony does a good job trying to match you up, though(?)

I tried it, I had a freebie 30 day trial and I cant say I got any matches I would want to meet irl. Some were down right freaky!

Another dating site that asks 10 million questions to see who you are compatible with is http://www.OKcupid.com and it is totally free I haven't had any real luck there, but that is mostly because there is no one in my area registered....besides it is a really fun site anyway (and nope, not affiliated)
