My son came home with a letter from school today. It said, "Due to the laws that govern administration of "medication" of any sort, that "medication", must be in a labeled original container or box, otherwise, it cannot be given here at school. Whether it be over the counter or prescriptions." Then there was another paper in there that they wanted me to fill out and sign saying that doctor _____ prescribed _____ medication, the diagnosis, dosage, time, etc. It also said, "I authorize the school to assist my child in taking medications as listed above. I agree that I will not hold liable the _____ School District, the school, school nurse or his/her designee in assisting my child in taking said medication."
The funny part about this.....It was about breath mints.
Yes, that's right, candy. :LOL He brought some Spry Mints (Good for your teeth and bad breath!) to school with him (Starting months ago.) and I put a note in the bag saying what they were and what they were for and they are treating it like a medication now.
Of course I'm not going to fill out the paper they sent home. That would be ridiculous. Or, I could fill it out and say it was prescribed by Dr. Mom and the diagnosis is bad breath and teeth. :LOL

: I think I just might fill that out and send it to school. :LOL I won't sign it though cause that would be saying I agree that it's a medication.
:

What do you mean?

: :LOL
: What's in breath mints that makes them a drug, anyway?
