Our school board just announced that it has hired Scottie Griffin, current area superintendent for New Orleans public schools, to be our new superintendent. Can anyone tell me anything about her? I've heard that the New Orleans public schools are terrible, but that isn't necessarily her fault, of course. But I'd appreciate any info anyone can give me about Ms. Griffin or her educational philosophies/practices, etc.
