Princeton Waldorf School, NJ

I have been following all of the Waldorf threads which contain really great conversations and I find the threads very helpful. Can someone help me further? Does anyone know anything about the Princeton Waldorf School in NJ? I have visited it twice, but was wondering if anyone knows someone that attends (or has attended) this school.

TIA.

Sorry I don't have too much info for you. I just wanted to add that I'm interested too. I went to boarding school with kids that went to Waldorf in Princeton. (It only goes to 8th grade. Or at least then it did.) They loved it and only changed schools because they aged out. We don't live that far, and although my DD is only 2.5, DH and I are considering sending her there when the time comes.

Hi Gillian,

It still only goes to 8th grade. My DS is 4 and I am really torn. I am trying to find out more in particular on this school. It would be interesting to know if any of the students that went there if they are sending thier kids (if they have them) to Princeton. Do you have any contact with your classmates still? If I hear anything, I will pass it on to you.

Where in NJ are you?

p.s -here is the link to PWS. Click on the curriculum box and it gives a good overview of the day. www.princetonwaldorf.org

Hi! Thanks for the link!

Were in Northern Burlington Co. (Near Bordentown) Maybe a half hour from Princeton? I've always liked the principles behind Waldorf, and I just cannot see sending my kids to the public schools in our town. DH and I have been talking about Waldorf, Friends schools or just homeschooling. Although - like I said I have a little time!

The friends I had that went to PWS don't have kids yet, but I think that if they did they might consider sending them there. I have other friends that attended other Waldorf schools and they sing nothing but praises for the curriculum/philosophies.

Why are you torn? Are you considering between Waldorf and Public school? Another private school? Or cost? I tried pulling up the tuition schedule, but my browser is super slow today. I have to imagine that it's expensive.

If you want - you can PM me back.
