I hate pumping do I need to?

Wondering if anyone has an opinion on whether or not I need to pump milk to leave for my baby if I work 9-5 but still get home for lunch to nurse him? He just turned one, is a voracious eater, a big healthy baby who nurses in the morning, at lunch and several times a night. I detest pumping, and don't get very much but have been doing it everyday so that I could leave bottles for him while I was at work. Wondering if it would be okay to let him drink water or organic cows milk while I am working as long as I still nurse him 3+ times a day? opinions?

If you really detest pumping and he's a year old, I'd say that you don't have to keep doing it. Feel free to stop without guilt. Especially if you're going to him at lunchtime to nurse. He can drink whatever you want when you're at work.

I agree... he's old enough, can nurse freely when he IS with you, and IKWYM about hating to pump!

I couldn't take pumping any more after DS turned one. He's been nursing morning and night, and drinking cow's milk during the day. You have to make the best decision for your family, but this has saved nursing for me.

I completely agree with the other ladies!
