I've just been going through my linen closet and there is a lot I want to be rid of. I have a bedskirt that came with a set I'm not crazy about, and we now have a bigger bed, so it doesn't fit anyway. And I'm not a fan of bedskirts. The material that sits between the box spring and the mattress is a bit stiff, white, and a bit loose in weave. Any brilliant ideas for how to use this? I am learning how to sew, so I'm low on skill, but I wouldn't mind trying out something when I'm using something I don't care about anyways.
Also, I have the plastic covering from a crib mattress I tore up. I used it for a waterproof pad in the bed for a while, but it's sweaty in the summer and tends to migrate, as it is slippery. I think it would make a good change pad. I would like to attach fabric to the back. I have enough of it that I can make a few and have them for shower gifts. Can I do this without sewing?
