Scrapbook'ers... AP Pages?

I would love to see pages that honor your AP style!

This is my all time favorite layout. Attached Layout I have done well over 150 layouts in the past year but this one will always hold my heart.

The journaling/poem reads:
there is nothing more important than holding you,
no phone that rings
no dishes that sit
nothing

nothing captivates my heart and soul
like you
like the scent of your sweet breath
like the feel of your silken skin

nothing will keep me from answering your cry
for a snuggle or for help
healing when I can
and crying with you when I cannot

I hold you close and I know
I know that I have answered my calling
that my life's work is in
my arms

you
you are that life's work
the child, my child that grew under my heart
now grows in my arms

That is so beautiful. I love the poem and I really love the clean layout of the page. Here is a page I did for my ds to remember a LLL conference we attended. I'm hoping to improve my "design" skills for the upcoming baby! LOL!

The quote at the bottom of the page is:
"Give a little love to a child and you get a great deal back."

fyrflymommy - I did write it myself!!! Much of my son's 1st year scrapbook tends to be my 'love letters' to him. I just cannot help it... I am so smitten!

Kristin - Thanks! I just broke out of a recent lull by spending much too much $$ at a scrapbook supply sale yesterday and then going to a 6pm-midnight crop! Lull broken! I hope you get out of your lull soon and will come back and share with us

Julie - That page is great! I was so sad I never made it to even a LLL meeting. I had a difficult time healing from a difficult labor/delivery and then I broke my leg when I was 5 weeks post partum and didn't walk for 4 months! Needless to say that I didn't leave the house for much of anything for a long time. I envy your time at the LLL Conference! Maybe I will make it to at least some meetings with #2! Are you all caught up on Will's album and now just waiting to start #2's album?

Omigosh - you poor thing! I can't imagine caring for a baby while trying to get around with a broken leg. Kudos to you for getting through it.
I would love to go to another LLL conference but I don't think they are having a regional one near me this year. But it was so great to get to experience that with my dh. He became a huge bfing advocate after that!

I'm pretty much done with Will's album. I did a lot of it the first 3 months. I was kind of crazy, I guess. I look back at the album and it looks like someone who was a WEE BIT sleep deprived put the album together. LOL! Oh well - the memories made it to the page.

I've been working on the album for the new baby. I have a black album with black pages and want to keep it CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN and SIMPLE. That's what I keep telling myself. I want a lot of black and white photos - but not all. So I'm working on the layout now and doing title pages because I want it to look more uniform, kwim? Rather then every page looking totally different. My mom gave me a book on using "block" templates to help keep you organized so I'm using those. And my sister is a Creative Memories consultant so I am always going to her house for her crop nights, etc. It keeps me on task. : )

Julie, I love the idea of an all uniform black baby album! I am sure it will be gorgeous! I would love to see some pictures when you are ready to share! My son's album is such a dog-podge of different things but it is sort of like us... kind of crazy and mixed up but full of lots of gushy nice love!

I just started a gift album for my new neice that is due in September. It has been great fun to use pink and girly stuff!

Very nice layout & a beautiful poem!! ...reminds me that I need to get back to my scrapbook. It took me five years to do my wedding album...wonder how long it will take me to get through DD's first year of pictures?!
