Physical exam for school entry

Hello all. Wasn't sure where to post this question, so I'll start here. DD will start preschool this fall. I've just learned about the Vax Exempt form, and that I do not have to send her to the doc for an exam and anemia test and urinalysis. DD is very adament about NOT GOING to the doctor. Since she's so healthy, and starting to eat healthier (as I told her veggies and fruits keep the doctors away), why should I subject her to a doc visit? I wonder what the school would say? Anyone take this route before and sign a Vax Waiver and refuse a physical for their child?

Thanks
Noreena

You could also try posting this in the vax forum... they have tons of good info there. Sorry I can't help you.

We vax, so I don't know how our school deals with that issue.

If you don't take your child for a physical by your own doctor, in our state, the school doctor will examine the child. I would rather have it done by our own doc, hands down.

I just signed my dd up for preschool, signed a vax waiver......and told them I would take her to our naturopath to sign the Medical Release form. Our form simply states that she is in good health, no activity limitations and no contageous diseases. The woman who runs the school know our naturopath and said that would be fine. She hasnt seen a doctor since she was just over a year.......And though I know she is healthy, I dont mind taking her in for a check every now and again. Esp when I know I wont be harassed for vax's.
