Fish Prints ?

Thread Starter
I volunteered to do ' fish prints' with an afterschool program. The problem is I don't know what kind of ink or paint or fish to use.

Has anyone ever used real fish to print on t-shirts? What kind of materials did you use? I have seen them on people, but have no idea how to do them.

If anyone has any ideas please pass them on, I only have a couple of weeks until I am on the schedule.

Thanks,

We do them every year using salmon. I did it in groups of 5 so had 5 diff colors of paint; ie. 5 diff. fish sections. :LOL

I just used the regular paint we have at school. Tempra? Dunno...it's cheap. Washable.

Used the big newsprint paper.
They paint. I picked up the salmon by tail and jaw and had a child slide a fresh piece of paper under. Put it down gently.
They GENTLY roll; ie. get the fins/tail and top/bottom.
**Have them each hold down a corner of the paper as you gently lift it off.

Then, afterwards, I had them sponge paint little blue blobs around the fish.

I've done the exact same way w/shirts (no blue sponges) but don't recall what kind of paint. I'd guess just the cheapest non-washable paint.
