Big Buttons anywhere?

For my daughters bedroom set, Im making a decorative pillow cover and I want to put two big buttons on it. But I cant find any plain old buttons, nothing fancy. Im looking for orange or med/light blue, and I also need big khaki colored buttons for a friend whose making her bedroom curtains. When I say big Im thinking 2-3 inches big, not 1/2 inch.

You could make some with polymer clay I know you have nothing good near you, so maybe that's an option? They can be painted and sealed so they don't chip.

I'll look through my stash...I don't think I have any that big, but I've got boxes full so you never know...

Thanks Carrie for looking. And polymer clay, hmm... I havent done anything with clay since highschool, Id like to know more about this, sounds like it might be a fun project I could do with Arianna as well.

CraftyMomma, Very cool webpage! I noticed that it had several food service items - a teapot, plates, etc. I understand polymer clay to be very much *not* food safe. It says so right on the packages, and Belle Armoire (which is big on polymer clay art) goes so far as to say not to bake polymer clay articles in your regular oven, but to get a toaster oven dedicated for it and preferably use it outside.

So, did I miss something on that page - did they propose a way to seal the products to make them foodsafe? If so, that would be awesome! Or are these items only decorative?

You can use it on items in such a way that it doesn't come into direct contact with the food. Like it could be on the outside of a teapot. I don't use polymer clay or sculpey, but I have friends that make everything with it, hence the suggestion
I found this site that seems pretty good for the safety, etc:

eta: it's fine in the oven as long as you follow the directions for the temp...think that link addresses that too.
