standard body measurement chart anywhere?

I was curious if anybody knew where to find a chart with standard body measurements that the clothing sizes are based on? I would like to create some of my own patterns for knitting and need to know what is the "normal" size for the 3 month old size or 2 year old size...whatever. People usually know what size their kids wear, but have no idea of the actual measurements...unless you are a diaper hyena...lol

try www.hannaandersson.com then just click on some clothing item and there's a size chart in there.

HTH

edited to add: oops no waist measurements just height and weight.

www.yarnstandards.com has some standard measurements -- maybe you can use this as a starting point?

Hope this helps.

You can check out this page:
http://www.kwiksew.com/Cold_Fusion/books/baby/6009.cfm

scroll to the bottom and it has measurements.
