My best friend died of toxemia

My best friend died of toxemia while 36 weeks pregnant. The baby passed too.
her site is finally up. I am emailing this to everyone I know. I would love if you could send it to everyone you know.
Mika's family is NOT well off, she did not have life insurance. I am trying to raise money for her kids. The boys are 6 and 4 and do not want to leave their father at all. He is trying to stay off of work as long as possible but he really needs to go back. The kids are doing as well as could be expected but they miss their mom of course. Her dh is trying to make sense out of his new life. I feel so lost without her, she was my Ethel and I was her Lucy. I cannot imagine what her dh is going through trying to live without her. this happened April 20th. I've been gone from the boards for a little While.

My deepest, deepest sympathies. I have had three friends who developed preeclampsia and was so very scared. It is such a real, real problem that nobody knows about until it affects you.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss.

Eclampsia death is something that scares the living daylights out of me. I had eclampsia/hellp in my last pregnancy. It is one of the scariest things you can experience.
