And it's not even 9am yet

I have a baaaad feeling about today.

Dh usually works at home on Fridays. But today he had to go into work to conduct interviews. I have an in-home speech evulation for ds scheduled, and a midwife appt. I purposely scheduled those today so dh could be here, but I understand.

Ds wakes up at 6:30am pissed as all get out. Whenever he wakes up before 7, he's a cranky bugger. So we get through 15 minutes of whining and crying. He's demanding videos while his eyes are still practically closed. Tell him no, maybe later. He gets up and starts playing with his trains. Phew.

Dh makes the horrible mistake of scooting over to snuggle with me for a few minutes before he has to get in the shower. Ds comes running in, shouting "no, mine!" because dh is on his pillow. Fine, dh gives him his pillow. Not good enough. Apparently ds has laid claim to the center of the bed and no one else can lay there. He throws a fit, screaming "no, mine! daddy move!" We're trying to explain to him that he can lay here too, the bed is to share, etc. etc. Finally I get too pissed and say "Fine, no one will lay here!" And I get up and huff out of bed. Of course then ds really loses it and is now screaming and crying. Not my best mommy moment.

Dh gets up to go into the shower. Ds starts screaming "apple pie." Huh? I don't even know the last time we had apple pie in the house, or when ds has even ever had it, seriously, like a year maybe? Ds is losing it, screaming for apple pie. We're trying to explain we don't have any, offering alternatives. No good.

Finally he calms down, dh showers, I let ds watch Sesame Street. I get on the computer. I go in to the living room and see his apple juice box (my substitute for apple pie) laying on the couch. I go to pick it up, and slip on apple juice all over the floor. The whole front of my ankle is now all scraped up and burning like hell.

I wonder what else is in store for me today.

That was me yesterday. The day started off bad and ended bad. I felt really guilty after the kids went to bad because I spent the whole day yelling at them. Today has much better, I'm trying to be positive. Hope your day gets better!
