Pleater

Ok - I have been eyeballing Pleaters because doing the shoulder on a sling is a pita. But they are so expensive! Soooo-- I found these instructions on making your own. Very cool - right? But - it says you need the following materials:
Quote:
Vilene Fusible Badge Backing 1050HF
Heat 'n Bond Ultrahold
What the heck are these things? Some sort of fusible interfacing - 2 different kinds??

And then I saw this fan pleater - which is even more perfect, but I think I'm just going to buy it because I can't figure out how to make it. Let me know if you have any ideas!

Thanks!

Definately not as cool - I don't want 1/4 inch pleats...

How do they work?

You just tuck the fabric in the pleater and then iron - so there is no measuring or folding carefully. Maybe I'm missing out on some trick to easily do this, but it is my absolute least favorite thing about making a sling....

I may be in the minority, but um...I have never ironed my pleats in a sling. I just guesstimate how far over I want them to go, and sew.
