I absolutely believe that there are no absolute truths.

Absolutely!

And that truth is relatively absolute.

I do not mean to make fun, but I think there are some absolutes in this realm as, for instance, it is wrong to "murder" someone, but it is perfectly ethical to "kill" in the process of saving your own or another's life in self-defense.

Killing and murder are not the same things, except in the fact that one is taking another's life.

I do not believe in situational ethics, so some things cannot be negotiated.

I hope I have made sense. Does this sound logical?

wow, what a great question! And to see the results was illuminating... much like our country, it's evenly divided.

I believe there is no absolute truth for everyone (in terms of spiritual/religious truths) but believe in one humanity truth as the golden rule essentially... we should love all to the greatest of our ability....

The miracle is not so much the One but the multiplicity of the One.

DH and I actually had a chat about this not long ago. He believes there's an absolute Truth, and that when it becomes known everyone will have to confront and come to terms w/ it. He doesn't think humanity has discovered it yet.

I disagree, and given that there's plenty of room for deniability w/ every brand of Absolute Truth that's come down the pipe in human history. If he's right the time will come when I won't be able to deny it. Until then, I'll keep walking the path I'm on w/out any expectation that the rest of the world will ever be in step w/ me.

So what you believe to be true, just happens to be "The Truth?" Can you prove this rationally? Why isn't your truth your truth and my truth mine? How do you make that leap, to define your truth as the one that is right for everyone, no matter their experiences, intelligence, taste, hobbies, cultural and family traditions, politics, insight, level and quality of eduction, age, health, sexual orientation, race, etc.?

Your truth, as per your location, is it reflected on the board below? Is the ranch the only "real" place to be?
