Audio Book Ideas

My husband and I are planning a trip to MI from IL next weekend. It's about a 9 hour drive and we thought an audio book would be fun. We want to get one through inter-library loan so we want to pick a title asap.

We don't know what we want though. The last one we listened to was the Da Vinci Code and we both loved it. The only books that we have both enjoyed are Ender's Game, Timeline, and The 13th Warrior for an idea of our tastes. Does anyone have any ideas along those lines? Thanks in advance!

How about Across the Nightengale Floor by Lian Hearn. It is the first of an expected trilogy (book 2 is out) about a fictionalized/fantastic medieval Japan. The pacing is fast, the plot full of intrigue, and the setting interesting.

I will look into that. It sounds like the type of book we'd both enjoy, and since we do travel home every so often if this is a series it would be perfect for us. Thanks!
